FIRST RACE

RED FEVER beat $20K opposition from a stalking position in a rapid clocking last time out in a sixfurlong turf sprint. His tactical speed may be an asset in this $32K dash over that same distance, with Alan Garcia back in the tack. CUMMINGS ROAD came inside from fifth to end up second behind a front-runner favorite in a recent $12.5K starter allowance. If all the speed hooks up, he could be along in time under hot turf rider Boulanger. ULTRAFLAME is competing on short rest off a rare claim by Tiller. The consistent 4yo just missed to a peaking Dan the Tin Man in his last turf try at this level June 7.

SECOND RACE

WHITE MOON missed the break by about five lengths and then lacked room on the turn before closing belatedly in a one-mile grass tilt at this level July 8. The daughter of good turf sire Victor’s Cry has another furlong to work with this time under new rider Campbell, who should have her rolling in the lane. COURT REPORTER placed in each of her two most recent turf engagements against similar under Da Silva. Nine furlongs seems farther than her preferred distance, so she could be viewed as a vulnerable favorite. CANADIAN EH is charting unknown territory in her first start beyond six and a half furlongs, but the 4yo daughter of Elusive Quality and an Empire Maker mare is bred for the task at hand.

THIRD RACE

SILENT SONET was a troubled fourth in the open Alywow Stakes the only time she lost June 11, and she subsequently won a fast OS allowance by five lengths with an 88 Beyer. She’s a standout in this seven-furlong stakes for OS fillies. GREEK JUSTICE came up just a half-length short after a wide/stalking trip in her turf debut going a mile in the July 1 Ontario Damsel Stakes for Ontario-breds. Seveneighths might be her preferred distance. FRESH PRINCESS awaited room before drawing off to prevail as the big favorite in a recent OS allowance on the Tapeta. Her successful sire, Giant Gizmo, is 0 for 59 with progeny starting for the first time on the grass, but her dam has dropped two turf winners.

FOURTH RACE

OFELIA GIRL mounted a mild bid for fourth over a turf course that aided front-runners and stalkers July 19. She won her two previous outings going long on the Tapeta against easier, and should be a factor in her second race off the claim. KATE’S WHISTLE brings solid turf form to this event and should be well-backed, even though the Tapeta isn’t her preferred surface. SOLON’S WARNING outran the top two picks while benefiting from the aforementioned bias on very firm ground July 19, when she finished a close second as the chalk. Note that she’s shareless in four synthetic track excursions.

FIFTH RACE

KISS UP began slowly before rallying wide for third in his first venture outside the maiden ranks last time in his second try off the bench. The big bay is stretching out to a distance over which he’s questionable, but he merits another chance around two turns because his 13-length loss in his lone route try led to a long layoff. BUBBA BOY is descending from $20K NW2 company to an inviting spot while changing surfaces to the Tapeta. DYNAMITE KID failed to make an impact last time in a marathon N1X, but was second in each of his two previous starts on the main track at this class. Use AUGUSTO B underneath in vertical wagers.

SIXTH RACE

GLENCAIRN was blocked behind rivals on the far turn last time before closing wide to lose by a head to Cool Catomine, who subsequently won the $500K Prince of Wales Stakes at Fort Erie in an upset. The son of Candy Ride should welcome the slight stretchout to nine furlongs here in his third start after a break. CARLOS SIXES pressed the pace and then blew a clear lead in the final furlong en route to finishing a close third behind the aforementioned duo in his second race following a winter layoff July 2. He was previously second to eventual Prince of Wales runner-up Aurora Way. MATTHEW’S RIDGE came from mid-pack to finish

third at first asking in a maiden special weight turf route July 16. Use the half-brother to Plate Trial winner River Rush on the bottom of exotics, along with U S ACADEMY.

SEVENTH RACE

MECHANICAL is dropping to the price at which he finished first before being disqualified Oct. 30. The closer has ample speed to chase in this $10K contest, and should be along in time if he’s anywhere near right. DR. HARKNESS wound up second for the 17th time in 61 starts July 7, when he was claimed from his longtime trainer for $8K. He could hit the ticket at a square price after flashing speed along the inside. DAN’S REVENGE is stepping up off an $8K claim by a trainer who is 4 for 9 on the year at cheaper tracks in the U.S. MOON DOGGIE is shortening up to a suitable distance off a fade job traveling seven-eighths, and wouldn’t be much of a surprise.

EIGHTH RACE

MILWAUKEE FLASH crushed $10K NW2 stock going nine furlongs five weeks ago under regular rider Moran, and would be tough on a repeat in this $6.25K conditioned event. He’s worked thrice leading up to this engagement, a positive, but is surprisingly winless in 10 mile and a sixteenth attempts. FOREVER KRZ is returning from a break which began after he ran second against $10K NW3 stock June 4, from which the thirdplace finisher exited to topple $6.25K conditioned rivals on the turf at Fort Erie. SHOT FOR SHOT is descending to a new low off a subpar performance for $20K. Contreras retains the mount and is 2 for 4 at the meet for this barn. BEAREAGLE is another possibility.
