BEST BET: RACE 8, SILHOUETTE

FIRST RACE

GET MY GIST crushed $25K maidens going fiveeighths in his latest, and is meeting mostly maidens in this six-furlong yearling sale stakes prep. PACHI THE GREY graduated by disqualification on the dirt at Delaware. SILENT RING could hit the ticket on the stretchout from five to six furlongs.

SECOND RACE

CLICKITY CLACK is debuting with a speed pedigree, and has some quick works on her tab. The daughter of last year’s leading Canadian 2yo sire Silent Name is well-regarded by her high-percentage trainer. SAFE TO SAY could improve with blinkers on while changing surfaces for her second start. ROMIA comes off a victory over $25K maidens on the dirt at Laurel.

THIRD RACE

BELLE DANSEUSE has worked better than she’s run, and could break through here on the drop from maiden special company to $40K. SAVANNAH ROXANNA has changed trainers since a narrow loss for $25K June 17. MEGALOPSYCHIA is another dropper from the maiden special ranks.

FOURTH RACE

WALL STREET WOLF has been coming up short after flashing big speed, and may have found a field that he can wire. RED AT LAST is plunging in value with blinkers on for his first start as a gelding. GET’ERDONEBUD is descending to a new low following a subpar showing.

FIFTH RACE

MY CANTATA had some speed to chase when she rallied from fifth to land a recent $12.5K starter. She’s hard to gauge on the stretchout to a route, but could strike again with Contreras aboard after a one-race absence. EXTREMIST rallied for second in a recent $16K turf tilt going a mile. CHEDINGTON should be a factor if she fires one of her better shots. AWFULLY SINFUL is another possibility.

SIXTH RACE

CHIRICAHUA SIGNAL has worked nicely since placing at this level July 8, and could be along for an overdue score. AYE AYE CAPTAIN was disqualified from first in the aforementioned event, which was his best performance in some time. DAYLIGHT BREEZE should mow them all down if he breaks decently, which he hasn’t done in a while.

SEVENTH RACE

TANGLEFOOT came wide from third to graduate at first asking in a $16K turf dash. He’s drawn outside a ton of speed in this $40K tilt, and could double up at a square price. RATFACE MACDOUGALL could be the dominant front-runner. SPEIGHTSTOWN TIME is tagged for the first time off a flat effort as the chalk. Toss OPENING REMARK in the super.

EIGHTH RACE

SILHOUETTE lays over this N2X field off a decisive score in an N1X over stakes winner Gale Force, who came back to just miss in an N1X after a troubled trip. Last year’s Woodbine Oaks winner NESHAMA figures to improve on the stretchout in her second race off the bench. SPARKLES’ GIRL could handle the rest in her first two-turn try of the year.

NINTH RACE

RARE GEM is descending to a new low off a wide fifth vs. $20K maidens. Accomplished turf rider Boulanger takes over on the Casse trainee. VIEW THE STAR is by the emerging grass sire Court Vision, and might welcome the surface change. LAKE MANITOU was fifth in her recent turf debut going three-quarters, and is bred to run on. Use MARY SUE WE LOVE YOU in the exotics.
