Race 7

HELOOKSTHEPART finished strongly to just miss at 11-1 for $32,000 at Saratoga Aug. 16. He drops and has been freshened. TALE OF E DUBAI was a smart winner for $32,000 in his only start on this track Sept 8. TOO FAST TO PASS has been knocking on the door and the return to this level may be what the Dr. ordered. SARATOGA WILDCAT was claimed by Jacobson for $20,000 here Sept. 17 and he has strong off-the-claim numbers. (4)

Race 8

HONORABLE TREASURE looked super blasting maidens at Saratoga Aug. 19. HAZIT came out firing to win his debut at Saratoga Aug. 26. This $430,000 son of War Front hails from one of the game’s top barns for juveniles (Pletcher). GOOD MAGIC is a maiden facing winners, yes, but the $1 million son of two-time Horse of the Year Curlin ran splendidly in his only start to be second to HAZIT. (3)

Race 9

BRICKS AND MORTAR did have some trouble when third in the Grade 3 Saranac at Saratoga Sept. 2, his first loss in five starts. YOSHIDA finished gamely for second in the Saranac and save for the Grade 1 Belmont Derby which may have been too far for him he’s fired every time. (2)

Race 10

PAVEL laughed at rivals in Parx’s Grade 3 Smarty Jones. That was just his third career start so there’s a ton of upside here. GOOD SAMARITAN looked super winning the Grade 2 Jim Dandy but left himself with too much to do in the Grade 1 Travers. (2)

Race 11

MINSKY MOMENT tries turf for the first time, but he’s not only shown ample talent on the main track, he’s sent out by a trainer who is among the elite with turf runners. MISSION LEADER was freshened and came back with a strong second at 19-1 at this level at Saratoga Aug. 31. RED KNIGHT finished just a nose behind ‘MOMENT in his debut on a sloppy track here June 18 but came back to beat maidens on turf here July 15 so this game suits. STORM PROPHET has been knocking on the door. (4)
