BEST BET: RACE 2, ZIONSVILLE

FIRST RACE

The status of the turf course a big question at press time. JUBILANT ran well in her debut on dirt finishing 3rd in a key race for different barn. Limited work tab for return but could prove beneficiary if this one switches to the main. EROTIC KISS very logical on the drop off troubled showing vs. better on GP sod. May prove one to catch. PROSPECTIVE MOMENT entered main track only and another getting some necessary class relief.

SECOND RACE

ZIONSVILLE, the day’s best, showed little debuting on turf now moves to the main, drawn inside for red hot barn. Expecting major improvement especially if showing speed in paceless affair. HERE COMES SURGIO logical off improved showiing last time but with only a 26 Beyer Speed Figure to show for the effort. JACKISM a new face to very weak looking category. Could be good enough to beat these off the bench.

THIRD RACE

SUNSET CATCH continues to hold form well, just failed despite traffic issues last time. Hard to look past if this one goes as scheduled on turf. DINO DUDE dons shades, might not look back if able to clear off early from inside post after engaging in contested pace last time. SEEKING FAST dropped far back, finished willingly enough albeit in a race which did collapse late facing much the same kind on 9/22.

FOURTH RACE

ZIP TO FLY another new face launching career in a pretty soft looking spot. Barn can have one ready to win off the bench. Son of City Zip might just prove well spotted at first asking today. NO DINERO made two runs, just missed while turning in another good try vs. this same kind, continues to knock on doort. Dangerous if able to shake loose early from fence. MR JOSHUA outfinished No Dinero for second money after sitting a perfect stalking trip returning from a very long vacation in 8/25 and very logical 2nd time back but does show no recorded works at press time since last.

FIFTH RACE

JOEL’S SENORITA looks like she should get loose as she pleases on the front end if taking to the grass returning to Ward barn after brief road trip to Maryland. Worth a look at a price. NOLA FASHION knocking on door with these turf or dirt. Hard to ignore. MY THIRD EYE beat same kind last time off a pretty good trip, doesn’t always run two alike and would obviously prove vulneratble if this one moves to the main.

SIXTH RACE

ASSERTIVE a beaten odds on favorite twice last spring in New York now dons shades, returns to main, should not look back with these. DORITZA an improving sort who has three useful works under her belt since Hurricane Irma, may come running to spring the upset should top one falter again. UNTRUTHFUL SONNET also a two time beaten favorite but coming off another good showing on turf but more than capable on dirt as well.

SEVENTH RACE

Taking a shot with LITTLE TODD who gets blinkers and some class relief after getting burnt out on the lead from the rail debuting vs MSW company. Could be the sleeper if able to relax on the front end with these. CABIN JOHN moves to the lawn off what may be a much needed turf bow for red hot barn. One more chance. ARISTTELES comes off what may be his best yet albeit on a wet track, taken to slip along the inside for at least a share.

EIGHTH RACE

BEAUTYOFADAY did not get the best of trips when disappointing as the favorite first off the claim in crosstown finale. Good enough to make amends with cleaner sailing. A SQUARE TO SPARE coming off easy win vs. same kind on the drop. Stays put, strictly one to beat again at another short price. CINDY’S CANDY was hung wide from tough post on wet track last time. Tossing the effort, ran well over this strip a year ago. Worth tossing in at a price.
