OBS fall yearling sale horses to watch

Following are horses to watch from the select session of the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co. fall yearling sale, based on pedigree and auction performanc­e of notable relatives.

Hip No. 12, b. f., Malibu Moon-Prettyatth­etable, by Point Given, consigned by Summerfiel­d, agent

Prettyatth­etable’s five winners from six runners include Grade 2 winner Pomeroy’s Pistol and stakes-placed Wildcat Creek and D’cats Meow.

Hip No. 47, dk. b. or br. c., Uncle Mo-Storm Dancer, by Always a Classic, consigned by Stuart Morris, agent

The sale’s lone offering by prominent sire Uncle Mo is a New York-bred halfbrothe­r to stakes winner Smuggler’s Hold.

Hip No. 52, dk. b. or br. f., Bellamy RoadSweet Again, by Awesome Again, consigned by Kinsman Farm

Grade 3-placed General Bellamy is the first foal to race out of Sweet Again, and is a half-brother to this Florida-bred filly. Horse of the Year Holy Bull is in the extended family.

Hip No. 54, b. c., Distorted Humor-Sweet Talker, by Stormin Fever, consigned by Beth Bayer, agent

Grade 1 winner Sweet Talker’s four foals to race are all winners, including Grade 2-placed stakes winner Sweet Tapper and Grade 2-placed Perregaux.

Hip No. 182, gr. or ro. f., Verrazano-Miss Skeeted, by Cloud Hopping, consigned by Summerfiel­d, agent

She is a Florida-bred half-sister to Grade 3 winner Mr. Jordan, from the first crop of Verrazano.

Hip No. 202, gr. or ro. f., Tapit-Every Way, by City Zip, consigned by Select Sales, agent

She is the first foal out of Grade 3-placed Every Way and the sale’s only entry by leading commercial sire Tapit.
