BEST BET: RACE 9, MANOLETE

FIRST RACE

ASK THE HEIR chased very fast pace, paid the price at the end while stretching to a mile for crosstown finale. Eligible to improve at a square price with two under his belt, especially if aggressively ridden from the outset to clear off and control this one from the outset. SHOOTIST tries main track for the first time after beating four of eight rivals in latest. Seems to handle dirt well enough in the morning to give a look at square odds here. JUDITHS NATHAN logical off last couple, stretch running sort will need help up front.

SECOND RACE

LOOK IT LINDA makes third start of current form cycle and likely the controling speed in this spot. Could get brave if able to relax long enough front ala graduation day. SU SU’S KITTEN back to what appears here preferred surface off dull showing on dirt. Ran well enough beating 11 foes to earn diploma two back to merit attention with these. ELLA’S DREAMING has been away nine weeks and showed no published works on resume’ at press time so by all rights she should not be permitted to run for the bettor’s protection but if she goes, and likely she will, demands respect if able to repeait either of her last pair.

THIRD RACE

An interesting MSW dash for 2yo fillies. ALLIYA’S STORY exits a key race during which she lost all chance when off slow and steadied early. Dons shades, has gotten in three works at PM subsequent to the outing, expecting big move forward with a cleaner trip. PROSPECTIVE LADY took some money, failed to show much speed, got hung wide, finished evenly at first asking but deservese a second chance after decent looking gate move earlier this month. LUZMIMI PRINCESS a question mark with nearly a two month break in puslibhsed works on resume’ but brought $300K at the sale and lures Gaffalione for her bow.

FOURTH RACE

ORBITAL DEITY freshened since improved showing at a mile when fourth in key race, seems to be working well enough for return. As good as any here. CIOMARA broke slow, finished evenly in off the turf career bow now tries turf and bred for the going being a half to SW Gangbuster. SO FRESH knocking on door at this level, just missed under similar conditions two back. The logical choice.

FIFTH RACE

I’M REALLY SUMTHIN won this condition at a mile two back, should catch enough pace to run down on turn back to 3/4’s. MOTION’S FIRST a bit inconsistent but ran well enough two back to merit respect with more experienced rider taking call here. MOONLIGHT SALSA earned season best Beyer beating N3L’s in her last but now back on very short rest, eligible to bounce at what figures to be a short price.

SIXTH RACE

RETURNTASENDA gets some class relief off latest at Laurel and quick enough to wire these if away running from inside gate. GAMER GIRL demands respect as a new face to terrible category and did shade 36 from the gate last month. YO NO FUI comes off far and away her best yet when clearly second best over next out grad Little Baby Bella. Very logical if able to repeat.

SEVENTH RACE

SON OF A DERBY WINNER plunges to bottom of

condition claiming ranks for third start of his form cycle. Now or never. LITTLE MATT goes turf to dirt, handled main okay over this strip at 2 last fall. ICONO holding form well enough from Beyer standpoint to merit respect for at least a share at his bests.

EIGHTH RACE

DOMINATE disappointed as even money choice after making nice middle move, flattening out late in a race he may have needed off a little freshening. Gets another chance against same kind over a track he ran career best number last season. SCHETTINO winless on the year but dropping to cheapest spot yet, lures Gaffalione and very dangerous if able to clear off early from horse for course FAN BASE.

NINTH RACE

MANOLETE comes off impressive tally last out at Gulfstream but proven around two turns and well spotted to return quick dividend off claim for new connections. RED CRESCENT dons shades, comes off good effort going a mile across town but unproven around two turns. The same goes for CHARLIE THE GREEK who has won two of last three against conditioned claiming types but with the bulk of his work having come at one turn.

TENTH RACE

Good luck sorting this bunch in finale. SOLDAT’S STORM showed a little promise launching career on grass despite a poor start, was second best behind runaway winner last time, looks ready for best yet here. CABIN JOHN out of a mare who won seven times on grass, likely to move forward in a big way switching to grass but must overcome tough post at what figures to be another short price. HE’S A LEADER beat more than half his field in both previous grass outings before getting eaten up in early speed duel last time. Looking for strong showing back on grass in nightcap. 21001 NW 27th Avenue Miami, FL 33056 (305) 625-1311 Main track: One Mile, oval. Distance from last turn to finish line: 990 Feet. Turf course: Seven Furlongs.
