BEST BET: RACE 6, GLENVILLE GARDENS

FIRST RACE

POST TO POST is adding Lasix off a stalking third behind Clickity Click, who came back to take the restricted Princess Elizabeth Stakes with a 60 Beyer. She’s worked decently heading into this OS maiden special, and Garcia is 7 for 16 at the meet for this barn. SILENT OAKS faded from second to fourth behind the top pick in the aforementioned key race. SILENT CONSORT placed in each of her last two appearances. She might welcome the stretchout from five to seven panels.

SECOND RACE

CONQUEST SWAGMAN pressed the pace from a three-wide position en route to a nose loss over an anti-speed track in his first try at this $20K NW2 class. SYNTHESIZE shook loose up front before fading late to second while running against the aforementioned bias against tougher Oct. 14. Finger Lakes shipper GASCONADE came four-wide to end up fourth behind the top choice when he returned to the local scene three weeks ago.

THIRD RACE

COURT BATTLE is returning from a break as a firsttime gelding for his second career start. He was bet down to favoritism in his opener, in which he fought for the lead before tiring. OVER SENSUAL wound up third after a stalking trip in each of his outings, earning a 55 Beyer both times. NOREGRETSFORNOW made the board in four of his five races, all at this $25K price with Wilson aboard.

FOURTH RACE

IT’S FATE mounted an eye-catching rally from far back to just miss when favored at first asking in a seven-furlong maiden special. The Sam-Son Farm homebred, who’s a half to G3 winner Aldous Snow, shouldn’t mind moving out to mile after working quickly. ROSE’S VISION took the long way home last time while closing for third in the restricted Cup and Saucer Stakes, which was won by Breeders’ Cup competitor Dixie Moon. FOLLOW MY LEAD was second in two maiden special weight turf sprints prior to ending up sixth at 84-1 in the G2 Summer on the lawn.

FIFTH RACE

HUNTS BAY is plunging from $32K to an inviting spot, and appears to have found a field that he can topple. Bahen picks up the mount for this successful partnership. LUCKY B. N. missed the break before closing from 10 lengths back for second when changing surfaces to the grass in a recent $20K tilt. He was also second first-time out on the Tapeta. AFTER PARTY and DISCREET DAN are prospects for the lower rungs of the exotics.

SIXTH RACE

GLENVILLE GARDENS aired in this overnight stakes last year, earning a career high 103 Beyer on good ground. He had no shot after a five-wide tracking trip two back in the G1 Woodbine Mile, and was an authoritative winner most recently in a third-level optional event over about nine furlongs. SHAKHIMAT broke the mile and a sixteenth course record when romping over extra-firm turf (12 GS) in a second-level optional claimer Sept. 23. FIELD OF COURAGE relished the soggy conditions when he parlayed a three-wide stalking trip into an upset score going three-quarters in the G2 Nearctic. The versatile 5yo is suited to a one-turn mile.

SEVENTH RACE

UNCLE B is donning blinkers off a belated third as the favorite in a longer sprint at this NW3 OS

allowance/$40K-claiming level. Da Silva knows the classy stakes winner better now. SIGNATURE DATA was softened up in a speed duel last time going seven-eighths. He could prevail in a projected front-end battle with ROCK N’ CANDY.

DAYLIGHT BREEZE was out-finished after looking the part of a winner in deep stretch in each of his last two outings. Use him underneath in vertical bets, along with NUPOGODI.

EIGHTH RACE

MIDNIGHT CROSSING could be viewed as a live longshot in the G3 Maple Leaf. She’s worked forwardly since finishing a close fifth in a 100-grander at Presque Isle Downs Oct. 5, and was previously a wide fourth behind two of her current rivals in the Belle Mahone Stakes. ICE FESTIVAL is winless since taking this 10-furlong contest last year, but she placed in all five of her starts at the meet, including a trio of stakes. She gave way grudgingly in the nine-furlong allowance prep for this event to the favored GAMBLE’S GHOST, who’s seeking her third consecutive victory. Top jock Da Silva inherits the mount on her from second-leading rider Contreras, who’s at the Breeders’ Cup. STELLA ROSE had quite a wide trip when third in the prep.

NINTH RACE

STREET CASH had a troubled run in her July 16 season opener, and she landed on the edges after making up ground in each of her subsequent races. She has some speed to chase here and could make some noise at a price. CHIC THRILL was a prominent second in a similar spot following a freshening a month ago. WAY TO VERSAILLES faded late to fifth after leading the way when favored in the Oct. 8 Ruling Angel Stakes for 3yo fillies on the Tapeta. She came up a neck short in a longer turf sprint at this level the start before.

TENTH RACE

CASSES STORY worked well during his time off leading up to this N1X, and could be invigorated under Hernandez. His last race contained two future N1X winners. COURT SAVVY dueled up front along the inside, over a track that favored outside/ closers, en route to finishing a lapped-on second in his latest. MALIBU SECRET was carried out after the break before ending up third after a wide journey Sept. 24, from which the runner-up exited to win an N1X with a 90 Beyer. Use AYE AYE CAPTAIN underneath in the gimmicks.

ELEVENTH RACE

MARTEN LAKE is dropping to a new low from a tough $32K claimer, from which the top three finishers all exited to run big. He could end a long drought if things go his way. NINTH SYMPHONY nearly captured a shorter sprint at this $20K price last time in his second try off the $16K claim by second-leading trainer McKnight. TROUBLE IN PHOENIX raced three-wide last time when third behind Roxy’s Vision, who came back to finish a surprising third in the restricted Overskate Stakes.
