BEST BET: RACE 2, MAMACHITA

FIRST RACE

FEARLESS PRINCESS one of several in here returning to their favorite turf course today. Was a bit over-matched in lone try across town, was hung wide, finished strong when finishing just behind HOLLYWOOD TOMCAT when pair met locally on Sept. 4. Might be right one with a trip. The latter broke slow in lone grass outing at GPW, beat virtually this same kind on Sept. 4, as good as any in here at her best. COLLEGE HOLLY back to the lawn, finished just behind top pair just wide trip in aforementioned 9/4 race.

SECOND RACE

MAMACHITA finally where she belongs against N2L’s after showing well against N3L’s in each of her last two starts. Actually led at top of stretch before fading late on stretch to seven furlongs last time. Was beaten less than a length by six time winner Loving Valentina two back. Not meeting that kind today. PARTY TARDE strictly one to beat if getting loose on rail, repeating performance on graduation day ableit over a wet track. HE WEARS THE CROWN drops to more suitable spot but with only a single win in 26 previous starts.

THIRD RACE

MR JOSHUA gets slight edge in one of the tougher bottom level maiden claimers you’ll see here all year. Chased odds on Valdocco before fading to third behind runaway winner and multiple MSW placed For the Gipper in crosstown finale, getting plenty of class relief while switching to high percentage barn today. X Y RUNNER another taking big plunge, ran too well in career bow not to respect for this tag, these connections, finished second in a key race which produced pair of next out winners. FLATTRIP has been gelded since finished second behind 7/5 Casse dropper going a mile in debut. Should be legged up to come running late from off all the speed on turn back to six panels.

FOURTH RACE

BE A HERO owns decided Beyer edge over most of these and a nine time winner who seems to be well spotted for local bow with Tyler G. taking the call. Main caveat the fact he must avoid early conflict with Dreaming of Joey. IN MY FATHERS IMAGE could prove major beneficiary if preferred choice gets hooked early coming off late running third vs. similar last out at GPW. BIG BOY BRUNO another who figures to come running late returning to his favorite course.

FIFTH RACE

RUCKUS should offer some value in yet another wide open lower level turf affair. Ran too well two back vs. same kind to ignore despite dueling early, putting away 6/5 favorite South Sea. Was second best behind only Gran Chief, who rallied from last off the contested pace, returned to finish 2nd with a 67 Beyer vs. winners next out. ANOTHER SOFTBALL continues to knock on the door with this kind but a hanging sort who has now been a beaten favorite in each of his last pair. Goes for hat trick today. DYNAMIC DANCER should show improved speed stretching around two turns while getting ample class relief to finally earn elusive diploma with a trip.

SIXTH RACE

YESUS STAR, a $150K yearling purchase, is a half to G1 winner Rail Trip and has been well prepared for his debut. Might be good enough off the bench in what looks like a relatively weak MSW spot.WATSCHEN the logical choice off improved showing last out but has been away since missing a length to fairly soft bunch here on 9/17. Held own working with older SW Diamond Bachelor at PM. NOBLE INDY obvious factor hailing from

Pletcher barn but hasn’t seemed to have broken any watches in the a.m. of late at PM. Might prove vulnerable at what figures to be a short price.

SEVENTH RACE

CRUZ DIEZ drops to weakest level yet while returning to his favorite surface after getting forced off the turf twice at GPW. Five of the seven horses he faced in 9/30 N1X outing at Belmont ran Beyers of 82-91 in their subsequent starts. Surely not facing anyone near that quality in this spot. PASSPORT TO CHAOS from high percentage barn but a bit of a hanging sort and a beaten favorite three times running prior to latest in N Y Still one to fear after missing a nose to next out $50K winner Thirsty Actor in N J finale. DREAM TRIP a question mark off latest but figures loose on the lead, might get loose, brave on the lead here.

EIGHTH RACE

PRAY PRAY PRAY from aggressive connections who will place new faces where they can have early success. Flashed good speed from gate in recent 3/8 blowout for bow. THANKS MOM showed improvement, also from gate, when adding blinkers in most recent work. Gets a second chance dropping with weaker. DESPOENA has shown little in two previous tries but was backed to 9/5 in only previous main track outing, deservies one more chance returning to the dirt.

NINTH RACE

FRISKY MAGICIAN could get himself a nice pace set up if this one goes according to form with DUBAI BOB and Ima Wildcat potentially battling it out for early lead. Northern invader from high percentage barn and hard to look past that big effort two back when rallying from off pace to defeat a field from which the 2nd through 6th place finishers all came back to win their next starts. Dubai Bob the logical choice returning to a course over which he’s already won three times. Outlasted multiple 3yo stakes placed Diddley last month at Gulf West.SEUSS another horse for the course who turns back to five furlongs, could come running for a share at big balloons for new connections off the claim.

TENTH RACE

Didn’t think the Puputov race was that good so looking for some new faces in finale starting with MS. SUMMATION who showed speed before fading late debuting vs. much better over Keeneland main. Mare has thrown one previous inner course winner. KITTEN OF THE NILE a first time starter by Kitten’s Joy from top debut barn. Homebred hard to look past launching career with these. CRESPUCULA gets Lasix and some class relief after facing stronger in lone turf outing. Expecting improvement at a big price. Harbin Ice demands respect on the drop but breeding only average for going and must overcome very tough post at this distance.
