SIXTH RACE

a margin. LOOKING READY is a versatile colt that is stakes placed on turf and a Saratoga maiden winner on dirt; likely to clear early, particularly if this race gets moved to the dirt. CATHY NAZ couldn’t keep pace through the lane against a pair of promising runners in Byself and Miss Hot Stones (a next-out winner) when a distant third in her debut, but this cast doesn’t seem to have near the quality; likely to benefit from her first race and her works appear promising, just as they did prior to her unveiling. VIRADIA owns the top Beyer, a 55, for a near-miss against maiden claimers in her second start; less room to improve than the top choice, however. Others worthy of consideration for use of the bottom of exotic wagers include first timers EMBRACE THE CHAOS and SPLIT TIME, plus second-time starter ANNE’S SONG.

SEVENTH RACE

ROCK DOC has a win, a second, a fourth in three starts in New York, and now benefits from catching a field in which his primary challengers, CERRETALTO and DANEBURY, are both returning from layoffs. The former hasn’t been out since the summer at Saratoga, while the latter is unraced since January. At least CERRETALTO did win off works in his debut, and he shows a steady worktab leading into his return. As for DANEBURY, he twice ran some flashy Beyers in New York last winter, though his extended stay on the sidelines indicates a fairly significant physical setback of some kind; never know if they are going to come back the same.

EIGHTH RACE

BIG THICKET needs some luck to draw into the race, but rates on top if he does. Although well beaten second out, he did at least flash improved speed and he raced behind far better runners than these maiden claimers; 65 Beyer two starts ago is highest of any posted in this lineup. Fellow straight maiden dropper ZENATO only beat one when debuting in a seven-horse field Nov. 3, but that was a quality group; class relief and debut experience should move him forward. LUTHERAN RAGS just finished second at this level Nov. 4, outperforming a number of runners that are back in this spot, including THREE GOALS.
