BEST BET: RACE 4, HOPE’S ROAR

FIRST RACE

Hey Howie the logical choice in opener but COOL MOVER might be worth a look at the price. Finished less than 2 lengths behind preferred choice after getting hung wide making a little middle move around second turn and into stretch returning to the turf, coming up tagged for first time. HEY HOWIE had a forgettable trip failing as 7-5 choice behind Pletcher firster who wired the field on 12/8, one to fear with cleaner sailing. GIO LEMON paired up Beyers in first two starts, likely to move forward to career best effort with barn’s go to rider Lezcano taking call for 3rd try of form cycle.

SECOND RACE

COXSWAIN got hung wide, had little chance in the Rapid Transit and nicely spotted for improvement over a track he’s handled so well in the past. Will likely have to catch speedy MR. KISSES who must avoid potential duel with Charlie Atlas and/or Be a Hero at what figures to be a very short price. CRAZY FRANK C a bit of a question mark after also having little chance from post 14 in Rapid Transift. Non-winning sort but capable of hanging on for a major share, especially with Saez taking the assignment.

THIRD RACE

SINGING BULLET continues to improve, exits career best at CD, working well locally, should reverse previous decision at hands of Rich Daddy especially if able to sit the trip off Flowers for Lisa. CONQUEST WINDYCITY no match for preferred choice in previous encounter but in dangerous hands off the claim. RICH DADDY got the better of the trips to upset top on in Ky. and hard to fault in his current form.

FOURTH RACE

HOPE’S ROAR, the day’s best, drops to easier spot after not being disgraced by far better in N Y finale. Reunites with Saez. Should be along. BOSSYATTA stalked, drew off, could not withstand class dropping Furiosa returning locally earlier this month. Looks like the one to catch again.UNDERTHERAIN got caught in tough position between horses, failed to switch leads late under similar conditions on 12/8 while forced to rally from off slow early pace. Lures Gaffalione but a bit of a hanging sort throughout her career to date.

FIFTH RACE

FINAL COPY drops to more suitable spot after holding own with G3 company in last pair. Not badly beaten two back at Laurel behind Just Howard, in the midst of a 4 race wins skein including 3 stakes at the time, and Voodoo Song, who also came into the race with a 4 race winning streak that included a victory at the Spa in Saranac. Jose Ortiz up adds to the allure. J R ‘S HOLIDAY thrown in as a sleeper donning shades for the first time since April. Seems to be focusing better in the a.m. with the equipment change. Big balloons in this spot. ENGLISH MINISTER a hard knocking veteran and obviously fits in this condition but winless in 14 tries at this distance.

SIXTH RACE

MR. SIXTY SIX checked last at the break, got hung wide throughout, steadied sharply again on second turn while showing some promise debuting off the farm vs much better than he encounter on drop to this level. Expecting wake up call with a better beginning/trip. ADMIRALS COVE the one to beat having finished mid-pack vs. much, much better in all recent N Y tries. BIG FRIDGE another getting some class relief,

ran too well in his debut not to merit a look in second start of this form cycle.

SEVENTH RACE

TIME IN MOTION has done most of his work on the farm but has one bullet in the holster and is a half by Uncle Mo to Blue Grass winner Dance with Fate. Tabbing board for further clues. PETE MARWICK enters winless in nine tries but exiting best yet off the claim for current barn. Took a run at well regarded Pletcher rival before settling for second money in local bow. BLACK PEPPER another who should benefit from his one previous start when catching a well graded bunch and hung wide throughout. Elk Camp adds blinkers for his third try, expecting improvement. Dexter, Salvaducci and So Sublime have all shown promise in the a.m. but 7 furlongs a tough distance for beginners.

EIGHTH RACE

JUST THE FACTS comes off arbuably his best yet when contesting pace to mid-stretch before fading late but only defeated less than four lengths by the likes of highly regarded Songeur, who had Beyered 89 in his previous starts. Facing no such rival returning to conditioned claiming ranks today. Will likely have to fend off Songeur’s stable mate SLAIMY who is without a doubt the one to beat on drop for this tag. Tossing SOUTHERN CAL’s last when victimized by a horrendous trip, previous couple point him out a contender vs. the others in here.

NINTH RACE

HE’S BANKABLE an intriguing option making turf bow after setting contested pace, just failing with addition of blinkers in CD finale. Has enough breezing for the grass to suggest he could hold on with what appears a pace edge today. EMPIRICALLY hard to ignore returning with maidens off a couple of okay stakes tries while getting full makeover, blinks and Lasix, for occasions.GRAYDAR’S RESOLVE turned in a nice effort debuting for a tag but could handle the hike with expected improvement and a more experienced pilot in the saddle.

TENTH RACE

CHISELED gets slight nod in wide open starter mile. Got hung wide and wider in the Iron Horse so just ignoring that performance. Fits here off all previous tries, should trip out nicely today behind speed of MAL GUAPO, Social Stranger and perhaps Little Paul. M G another who had little chance breaking from awful post in the Iron Horse after winning three of previous four and a proven commodity at a one turn mile. Just a matter of how hard he gets pressed early from his inside post. FOURTH OF JULY the third member of this field poorly posted in IRon Horse. Makes second start off the claim for Maker barn, should come running at the end.

ELEVENTH RACE

Not much to choose from in tough finale, taking a shot with BERNARDA who had chances compromised by unlucky starts in both previous tries against MSW opposition. Should appreciate the class drop, wake up if able to get away with the others. QUICKLUCKYCOCO looks like the speed of speed and one to catch dropping to cheapest level yet. Just missed behind 6/5 Bezara firster Thats Her M O at GPW. DUDACITY one of many new faces launching careers for this tag, showed enough promise to merit a look with these.
