BEST BET: RACE 8, FUELEDBYDRAMA

FIRST RACE

THUNDER’S HONOR caught a couple of well meant first time starts when second best in last pair now switches to the grass, lures Irad for the assignment. Sire Dialed In okay so far from limited sample with turf runners. OROSCOPO comes off improved showing turning back to five furlongs when second best behind Pletcher trained Gidu, returning to grass, logical with these off that effort. GIANT DILEMMA back to what appears his favorite surface after finishing far behind preferred choice when pair met last month on dirt.

SECOND RACE

MOONLIGHT BANDIT and PROMETE look like two best plunging to the bottom although must avoid hooking up in potentially suicidal early duel. BIG BOY BRUNO might prove the beneficiary if top pair hook off another decent effort going a one turn mile. Might sneak around from the rail to spring the upset if this one falls apart late.

THIRD RACE

GIO DUDE an interesting sort, has nothing but trouble lines on his resume’ but bred to be decent(1/2 to 3 time SW Souper Colossal) and exiting a decent enough breeze at PM for high percentage barn. Note high percentage, big ROI J/T stats on this one. LOKI’S REVENGE has shown some promised in the a.m., flashed some decent speed in recent gate drill, might fit with these off the bench. INVERTED another new face to a soft category, lures one of the Ortiz’s but coming in off what looks like a modest workout resume’.

FOURTH RACE

HYNDFORD comes up tagged for Pletcher barn off decent debut run on grass when beating six of nine rivals. Subsequent works have been decent on the main, should benefit from the experience turning back to a mile. TROOPINGTHECOLOR has shown promise in the a.m. and out of a multiple SW mare with more than $500K in career earnings. LONG BLADE set a realistic pace switching to turf for 2yo finale now returns to the main and may prove one to catch again today.

FIFTH RACE

SOUPER STRIKING chased loose on the lead winner, faced late when stretching out to a mile for the first time 3 weeks earlier, could be sitting on best yet with that one under her belt. TROPICALITY another who showed early foot before fading badly while facing open company in most recent try. Getting some class relief returning with Fla. breds now. BABAKNOWSEVRYTHING faced a weak bunch launching career for a tag but with little chance after breaking slow, sitting off tepid pace. Worth another look vs. state bred company.

SIXTH RACE

R NEXT ROLL obviously a huge question mark off extended vacation and with only one published work on her resume’ although obviously has done more in the morning than what was on her tab at press time. Beat a good one in then Pletcher trained Honor Way on graduation day, the latter having since gone on to post three victories. Too fast for these if ready off the bench. STARSHIP REINA in dangerous hands off the claim, figures to press preferred one’s pace from the outset. Veteran mare surely will bring a real experience edge to the table vis a vis likely favorite in here. FLORA FANTASY has hit the board in last three tries, twice with this kind, should again come running late for at least a minor share.

SEVENTH RACE

ELLA BROWN comes well prepared for her debut for barn that has done good work with fresh faces of late. Might be good enough to graduate at first

asking or this tag. DANCE RHYTHMS drops another notch for local bow. Should enough in 1/7 work to merit a look at this level. MISS SOPHIA’S STAR a beaten favorite without much excuse in both previous starts. Hard to ignore but willing to side again on top at another short price.

EIGHTH RACE

FUELEDBYDRAMA should be able to take advantage of what figures to be a very honest pace scenario, especially coming off series of good works since his last. Should fit for this tag. MO BOURBON encounter some trouble when dropped to the bottom for first time two weeks earlier. ORtiz stays. One more chance. LEGACY AZTECA gets much needed class relief for second start off extended vacation.

NINTH RACE

Speed, speed and more speed in this one. SPICE LADY hard to fault off easy N1X allowance win which came at the direct expense of stakes placed mate No Sweat. Has shown some ability to pass rivals in the past. Gets nod over another well regarded member of Pletch barn NONNA BELLA who may be the more talented of the pair but compromised some by rail draw and the long layoff. DANESSA AGAIN exits nice move over muddy track in preparations for another shot at this level. Like the turn back to six furs., Might hang on for at least a piece.

TENTH RACE

FABRIANA and SPICY NELLY caught in form Nikkie’s Cause under similar conditions on 1/4, the former taking the worst of the trips that day after walking out of the gate. Should get the right pace set up to reverse that decision if around clean under Julien. Spicy Nelly slipped up the rail to turn in career best effort in last and another who would benefit if this one ties up at the end. SONG OF MELODY one of several last out grads for similar tags in this lineup, edging clear late to win a key race with her effort flattered the most by 3rd place finisher Cosita Rica’s subsequent maiden tally.
