BEST BET: RACE 3, OVER TO YOU

FIRST RACE

FAST POINT seems ideally spotted here on the dropdown, as she’ll be looking to close and there’s a good amount of speed in here; that last Beyer gives her strong credibility. DR. LLENADO hasn’t been close of late but she stands to improve in this opener if she gets a better set up in terms of pace; price should be there. HAPPY PRINCESS stretches out to a route in her second career start, and she’ll be a late threat if she can move forward with the extra ground.

SECOND RACE

DON’T TAP AND TELL has had trouble getting away from the gate but with a clean start he could be the one to beat today if he breaks cleanly, as this sprint seems a little light on speed; reunited with Gallardo. BERTIESBEAUBOAZ is kin to three winners and seems to have shown at least a little early zip in his breezes; dangerous with an alert break given the projected race flow. BLAZE A TRAIL is in for a tag for the first time and appears to be the one they have to fend off in the lane.

THIRD RACE

OVER TO YOU caught the eye with a solid late run in that debut run, on the turf, and though her latest was rained off the grass she also ran a strong race for the show there; needs some help getting in off the AE list but if she gets to run she’ll be a handful in the lane. NORMAL SINUS was behind the top pick in her most recent try on the grass but she was wide on the first turn, and that cost her; slightly better post today. BANGLE was a game 2nd in her first try on the turf; no major knocks, though she did enjoy a perfect trip there and the winner’s Beyer came in well below par for the class and distance.

FOURTH RACE

CHICORY BLUE is a little obvious, having beaten several of these same rivals in that last one, but he did it so decisively, and though he came up the rail there he could well be set up just as well in this one; tough at a short price. D C NINE has never raced on the main track but he’s worked well on it the last couple of time he breezed, and he does have proven speed; may be worth a shot for those looking at an alternative to the favorite. EXCLUSIVE ZIP was behind the top pick last time, and though he was no threat to that runner he was only beaten three lengths.

FIFTH RACE

JACKISM could not catch up to the speeds in his latest, when he finished 4th behind a pair of these same runners, but he didn’t get the best of set ups, as the race flow favored those runners who were close to the pace; can turn the tables with an improved race flow. JOJO’S SPENSIVE scored at this level last time via a forward trip, and he figures to be a factor from the bell today from his inside post; can also rate if need be. HIGHLAND PARK HERO was game in defeat in his latest, when behind Jojo’s Spensive, and he fits here based on his best figures.

SIXTH RACE

KEEP THE RING was off the board when last seen but that was no easy trip, prompting the pace in a race where the closers held the edge; the drop in class off the layoff and claim can be considered a negative but this barn has solid stats in several pertinent trainer categories. R D MAGIC rallied strongly to finish 5th in her latest, and though she was aided by fast fractions the resulting Beyer gives her strong credibility in this field. IMAGINABLE has had her chances but none at a level as low as this; certainly capable, though she does figure to take her share of money.
