FIRST RACE

CAN’TCATCHTHERAXX got hung wide throughout, just missed as tepid fave when dropped for this tag for first time earlier this winter, hard not to like back with inside draw in opener. ALYSSA AND A LISA rallied belatedly behind preferred choice in their previous encounter, may prove one to beat in rematch. FALLEN LEAF has sandwiched a couple of nice tries around head scratcher two back against top pair. No match for 1/2 Ariel B last time. One to catch again.

SECOND RACE

SWEET MAGIC drops to weakest level yet after being totally over-matched against MSW opposition last time. Need only repeat big try two back with first blinkers go graduate. STYLITUDE stays put off the claim and a decent second place finish in local bow. Slow starting sort could prove one to catch stretching back to a mile if leaving with the others. SARA’S DAY much better on turf than dirt but could prove best of the others.

THIRD RACE

BRAINCHILD makes second start of current form cycle and exiting tough run in local debut when stuffed and shuffled back in traffic on the final turn. Ortiz gives a return call and subsequent works all promising. LADRONA a wide running second when tagged for first time returning from extended vacation and also training well for second start of the cycle. Might handle the class hike. SUNFEST a fairly consistent sort from a Beyer standpoint. Must include along with Crave, a hanging sort who like Sunfest chased home in form Front Row Debbie last time.

FOURTH RACE

HUBBADAHUBBADABOOM adds blinkers, working well for drop to selling ranks. Should offer some value behind TOOTHPIC who goes back to the main, should stand some catching if away running from the rail. DIGITS a giant question mark coming off the farm for high percentage connections.

FIFTH RACE

STROLL ACTION second best before in form La Nenade Papa despite a horrendous trip last time and could return quick dividends off the claim with cleaner sailing here if able to work out a trip in a field loaded with speed types. SCHIANTI could be the quickest of the bunch although did show another side when rallying from off pace to finish second behind recent SW Roses In the South. OPTIMISTIC SHOT lost all chance when stumbling at the break behind preferred choice last time. In fact has had issues at the gate in all previous starts. Showed enough in bow to merit consideration with cleaner beginning.

SIXTH RACE

MUSICAL HEART, the day’s best, moved well up switching to turf when nailed late by well meant debut turf runner Valiant Perception from Chad Brown barn. Working well for return, might not look back this time. LOVE SICK KITTEN ran well behind preferred choice last month when fanned wide turning for home, finishing willingly in promising bow. ISOLATED made easy lead of his own, faded late behind a couple of decent rivals while showing improvement on the stretch around two turns, must avoid potential duel with preferred choice.

SEVENTH RACE
