BEST BET: RACE 6, SHESAHEATWAVE

-

FIRST RACE

Quarter horses.

SECOND RACE

EASY MONEY MAN finally gets away from the rail even if two prior tries weren’t too bad. He gets a positive rider switch today and owns a recent work all while going third off the layoff. Y O L O CAT is versatile and has the best upside. He has worked three time since his last race and returns at a good level. The one to beat for sure. RUN HARVEY RUN just ran better when dropping in class. Beaten favorite angle applies.

THIRD RACE

WAY OUT is by a 0 for 1 debut turf sire. His dam went 6-3-0-1 on the grass and earned 57K. Of 3 sibs to try the grass, 2 won. Current form for this gelding is only OK but he switches barns to Chad Story who is 29% on the grass and 46% with new runners. REAL LUTE ran evenly in his turf debut previously and that was only his second career start. His turf breeding is solid and he cost 30K which is a lot for around here. DUST ROLLER ran well in his turf debut and recorded a Beyer top. Many a runner improves the second time they do anything. R H SMOAKEM is by a 6% debut turf sire. His dam never tried the grass. Of 4 sibs to race, 2 won with another hitting the board.

FOURTH RACE

KISS SIN GOODBYE is just better of late. He went from a 4% barn to a 36% one and maybe that is part of it but it should be noted that this gelding did win his claimed race. Connections find a good spot and this 9YO might be an old good horse getting better or OGHGB. AFRICAN FIGHTER is feeling so good that not even a surface switch could slow him down. We have to think that the dirt is his better surface though and he does return to that today. He has done most of his winning at today’s distance. CARLSBAD MOUNTAIN just didn’t fire last out. Was that try too bad to be believed? He went favored you know. If he wants the front end then there are two other speed horses in here.

FIFTH RACE

RODS SONG doesn’t have to beat much. Her return try was OK and she could certainly move forward off it. Yikes, Metz is 5% second off this type of layoff. A fairly quick turnaround might be a positive. SECRET AGENT GIRL comes in off a layoff something she hasn’t had in a while. A jock switch is noted. VADVADA has a penchant for less. She has never missed the board on this dirt either. Added half furlong helps?

SIXTH RACE

SHESAHEATWAVE is by a 17% debut turf sire. Her dam missed the board in only turf try and this is her first grass foal. This filly won nicely off the layoff and goes for a barn that is 25% with repeating winners. Her turf Tomlinson is a nice 322. RED WHITE ‘N PEACH is by a 5% debut turf sire. Her dam is 9-1-0-1 on the green and earned 26K (won turf debut). Two sibs are a combined 3-0-0-0 on the weeds. At least this filly has won around two turns. CAUSEWAY’S GIRL is by a 1 for 9 debut turf sire. Her dam was un-raced. One of two sibs won on the grass. NAUGHTY SWAGGER is by a 0 for 1 debut turf sire. Her dam went 2-1-0-0 on the grass for 10K and this is her first foal to try the sod. AILISH’S BUTTERCUP is by a 7% debut turf sire. Her dam went 40-1-4-8 for 49K on the grass and this is her first foal to try the weeds. MIS KOPPER RULES is by a 6% debut turf sire. Her dam went 5-1-0-1 on the grass for 22K (won debut). This is her first foal to try the green.

SEVENTH RACE

DIVINE MANDATE just ran better and against a decent group. He has put good route tries together

before. Tactical speed to help with this post. KING DOLLAR might be the best value. His most recent was improved. He put good route tries together 6 and 7 back (29-1 and 5-1). PACIFIC CHANNEL draws nicely and just ran better. Even that local try two back was encouraging.

EIGHTH RACE

AIKMAN’S GAL is feeling good. She lost by less than 2 lengths last out and that spot was not easy. Plus, she was sent off at 9-1. This spot is easier and she gets good race flow. DESIGNATED ROYALTY is the inside speed. If the rail runner doesn’t send, then this mare could hold the rail. We have had a few days in the last week that speed did well here. GREAT LADY ZEN has hit the exacta on this dirt in 8 of 14 races. Form cycle hints at better while recent figs as good as anyone.
