BEST BET: RACE 9, INTO WYNNING FIRST RACE

The program is led by a 3-year-old allowance that could produce starters for the Arkansas Derby. In the opener, J P OF GALILEE has class appeal as one who has been facing steeper. He also could be sitting on a peak race in his third start off the layoff. J P OF GALILEE migh further be well-served with a fast track after catching wet surfaces in each of his last two starts. BOGEY is making his first start in November but ended his season on a high note, with back-to-back wins and a career-best Beyer Figure. MR ARK gets in light under apprentice Morales.

SECOND RACE

ITWILLBEALRIGHT is on the also-eligible list, but would be a nice fit were he to draw into the body of the race. ITWILLBEALRIGHT is cutting back to a sprint distance and when last seen at one turn he was third against higher-priced rivals at Tam. Also like that he was favored in his last start. UNCLE PANCHO might be best-served with a fast track. DREAMRIDER cuts back to one turn and as such figures to be making his case in the later stages.

THIRD RACE

SERIOUS TALK was prominent over a laboring kind of track last time when second, and like that he was favored in that race. FLYING MR K. has class appeal as one who has seen steeper. This marks his third start since December. NOBADEER finished in front of top choice last out.

FOURTH RACE

CALL A COP has been facing steeper and seems like one who would be well-served with a fast track after catching a wet track for the first time last out. He also has reason to move forward in his second start since July. CUMBER will add blinkers and could be sitting on a peak race in his third out since September. BEAT THE HEAT appears poised to graduate soon.

FIFTH RACE

SAMMY WONDER STONE gives up recency to these as he last raced in September, but what he lacks there he makes up for in class as one who has been facing steeper. He also has speed and a post that might give Cohen options. GOOGLEADO is another quick sort who looks like a strong fit with these. COMO SE LLAMA was just edged last out when looking to nail down career win No. 14. Props to JOHNNY WHIP, the 9-year-old who is a three-time winner this meet at Oaklawn. Overall, he’s won 19 races in his career.

SIXTH RACE

LADY WARRIOR owns a competitive series of Beyer Figures and might be sitting on a peak race in her third out since November. MORNING BELLE might be best served with a fast track after encountering a wet surface for the first time in her career last out. RIVA BELLE cuts back to one turn and on the distance move could be making her case through the lane.

SEVENTH RACE

QUEEN KATE wins often and moves back into the starter ranks here following a clear victory over claiming rivals. For the effort she earned what ranks as this field’s best last-out Beyer Figure. COUNCIL RULES is something of fresh horse as this marks her first start since January. BLUSHING BELLA is a consistent sort who ran a big race off the bench last time and has reason to move forward in her second start since September.

EIGHTH RACE

NAVISTAR, a $900K son of Union Rags, showed promise in his debut when second to a next-out stakes winner in Mask. NAVISTAR, who adds blinkers, has good speed and looks like a candidate to take these a long way on the lead. TENFOLD impressed in his debut, when he conquered two turns in his first attempt, winning off by more than five lengths. The Beyer Speed Figure of 87
