BEST BET: RACE 7, BOBBY BABY

FIRST RACE

Quarter horses.

SECOND RACE

OPPENHEIMER ran evenly in her debut and that race experience will come in handy today. Three of five sibs beat winners and all three earned at least 121K. This filly cost 20K. The rail draw is a small knock. MOVES LIKE A DANCER was stuck on the rail in her debut and then broke...wait for it...dead last. She did show some speed after her tardy break before eventually tiring. We like that connections want another shot at this level. GREAT FINALE is by a 0 for 9 debut sire. Her dam went 3-0-1-0 for 3K. Of 8 sibs to race, 6 won and all 6 beat winners. The best is Red Zeus (386K). SHARP MIND is by a 10% debut sire. Her dam went 5-0-0-0. Lone sib is 4-0-0-0. JUDO GIO is by a 8% debut sire. Her dam went 2-0-0-2 for $2,153. This is her first foal. FAITH IN EXCESS is by a 10% debut sire. Her dam went 11-4-0-1 for 28K. Both sibs beat winners (35K and 69K).

THIRD RACE

KAST INTENTION went favored in her debut and then won gate to wire. She owns a sharp work since. We like that Scott Stevens keeps the call and he is 20% with this barn. A good inside post that isn’t the rail works for us. BLACK STORM RISING has back to back 50 Beyers. Versatile style is a plus and win rider returns in Ramgeet. LITTLE SISTER DON’ T U was facing stakes foes not that long ago. She did win her debut at Cby. Race flow is fine and this filly does draw outside.

FOURTH RACE

DREAMING EZ has some speed and gets in light today. She stretches out today and that will put her on the engine. This barn is 26% sprint to route. Wire please. BONITA RAPIDS ran OK off the layoff and might improve second off it. We like that she has worked twice since. Vergara was up three back when this filly lost a photo. FERNET ME NOT might have needed her return try. Best effort to date came around two turns.

FIFTH RACE

SHE WILL has never run a poor one. For a low level claimer that is saying something. Her tactical speed comes in handy today. New barn doesn’t claim many but they do use Ramgeet for their winners (16% J/T). PUT SARAH ON is feeling better while just missing a Beyer top last out. Off the pace style means someone needs to soften up our top pick. Half furlong cut back is a plus. ITS HER PREROGATIVE will be a better price than many of these. A sluggish pace hurts more than anything for this closer. Current form is better.

SIXTH RACE

A. F. INDY is a new turf horse. Or is he a new route horse? The Pearson barn shows a flat bet profit with their turf starters. A good post for a stalking trip. Vergara sticks with the 4 horse so Corbett gets to be the hero today (33% J/T). FIRST TO THE WIRE broke slowly in his most recent but still improved his Beyer by two points. He should save some early ground from this inside post. He is often a good price. LAND OF DIXIE has some speed and there isn’t much pace in here. His most recent shows he can pass runners if needed. He goes second time this sod which is often a plus. His turf breeding is better than all of these.

SEVENTH RACE

BOBBY BABY is the value. He goes from a 3% barn to a 13% one. We really like his recent longer works. New barn adds Lasix which certainly can’t hurt. Corbett gets a leg up and he is 2 for 3 for this barn. SUSPICIOUS LOOK actually ran OK 3 and 4 back. He got into trouble in his most recent. He could show a little speed in here. Here comes a nice price to entice. BONITA BOSS has the best upside. Not sure what happened last out but notice that he didn’t show his usual speed. Jock switch to Mawing is interesting as he is 31% with this barn. With a good break, this gelding might be long gone.

EIGHTH RACE

GRINAN BARE IT is by a 6% debut sire. Her dam went 8-1-2-0 for 14K. Of 4 sibs to race, 3 won and all 3 beat winners. Two earned more than 120K.

Works are perfectly spaced and this filly gets in light with Werner up who is riding better and better. HALO GIRL might have learned to stalk last out. Form cycle hints at better. BONITA ANNIE broke slowly in her debut but still ran evenly. One of two sibs is 5-2-1-0 (16K). GRAY BRIDE is by a 10% debut sire. Her dam went 7-0-0-1 for $3,747. Of 5 sibs to race, 3 won and all 3 beat winners. The best sib is 19-3-4-2 for 70K.
