BEST BET: RACE 2, I IDOLIZE YOU

FIRST RACE

SILVER WINGS REVEN has been away since 3yo finale at Woodbine but training forwardly for return and perhaps too quick for these if able to get the jump on the other speed types in this lineup. BIG POSSIBLE turns back in distance off the claim, may have best late kick coming off pair of mile races to start career. Has the speed to stay within hailing distance throughout. STORMY ACTION gets some class relief for second start of season but obviously well bred for the going, expecting best yet on the drop.

SECOND RACE

I IDOLIZE YOU, the day’s best, earn high marks on graduation day and well spotted for 3yo bow. Should have to run down NEW CHAMPION who could not quite survive extended pace duel vs. same kind last month. K K’S REVOLVER exits best yet from a figure standpoint going a mile, should come running best at the end.

THIRD RACE

RIKER idle since early fall and dropping to weakest level yet for return to dirt. Works say he should be doing well enough to beat this kind with Saez taking the call. PADEN knocking on the door of late, strictly one to fear. IZZY THE WARRIOR rallied off fast pace to bre second best when also dropped to this level for first time several weeks earlier but a beaten favorite in two of last three starts.

FOURTH RACE

RUCKSACK looks like controling speed coming off good showing behind 8/5 Agujero for this tag last out. Will likely have to hold off DAPPER SAM who was also second best behind an 8-5 favorite trying Tampa turf 19 days earlier. Seems to handle dirt well from looks of those bullet a.m. works at Payson. TENDOWNINGSTREET a very consistent sort from a Beyer standpoint. Cannot ignore.

FIFTH RACE

DINO THREE O NINE second best behind promising, odds on winner when haltered for $50K in his last, wheels right back for same tag with Saez taking a return call. Must avoid early battle with TO THE HILT who also exits recent claim, returns to dirt where he turned in decent effort on 1/20 albeit in a four horse field and what was, in reality, a two horse race. TERRIBLE DAY gets Lasix, some class relief returning from extended vacation as well as Ortiz aboard. Lots to like off the bench.

SIXTH RACE

LONG BLADE back to a sprint after showing way, fading late in a couple of two turn tries, the last when getting clear quick from tough outside post in a 12 horse field. Taken to stalk, be along at this distance. ACCOLADE has been gelded since last sighted in the afternoon running troubled fifth vs. virtually the same kind. Should be coming best at the end. SEVENTH RACE

TWENTY AND FOUR drops to weakest level yet for third start of current form cycle while returning to a surface she handled pretty well against much better here nearly a year ago. Taken at the price in wide opening event. MODERN TALE back to level at which he was haltered out of winning effort last fall at GPW, fits nicely with these at his best. GIANT’S VOICE recovered from slow start to show new dimension passing more than half his field last time. Rarely puts two good ones back to back but worth tossing in at a price with cleaner beginning from the fence.

EIGHTH RACE

PERU second best behind loose on the lead winner two back in Houston and dropping to softer spot than last time when a troubled fourth in the Mary Todd. Shaky nod if getting necessary pace help.

DUCHESS OF DUKE looks like the speed of the speed but winless now for quite some time. May prove one to catch if able to shake loose early from Princess Victoria. GOLD LACE hard to toss off last pair although did hang on the money off good trips on both occasions.

NINTH RACE

SWEET STRIKE looks intriguing here at a price returning from extended vacation for top turf barn. Not badly beaten in bow behind a horse who has since become a stakes winner on grass. Gets nod at price over logical ONE MOMENT IN TIME. The latter exits an improved showing vs. same kind six weeks earlier and continues to train well for return. DIG DEEPER another potential sleeper moving onto the green for the first time and stretching around two turns. Look out if able to get away early from Inspired Bow who is obviously among key contenders along with Asticou Trail.

TENTH RACE

EARTH comes up tagged for the first time and could stand some catching making second start of current form cycle for top connections. BANTU got bottled up through stretch, just missed when backed to 7-5 vs. same kind on 2/9 while back on firm turf for the first time since graduation day. One to fear. MUSICAL HEART never better but stepping up a notch off well graded maiden tally. Must respect in his present form.
