BEST BET: RACE 1, INKSPIRED

FIRST RACE

INKSPIRED makes his first start since October but he’s been working very well toward his return and he meets a seemingly average field of nonwinners of three lifetime; the one to catch. TRANQUIL WARRIOR has the speed to stay close, and his inside post helps in that regard; may get first run at the top pick. NEPHEW HOWARD D was aided by the race flow but he was still a game winner against a step lesser.

SECOND RACE

LOVE AND MISCHIEF was behind LA FEMME ROYALE last time but the latter controlled a mild pace there, and today’s race shape seems to be much more favorable; should be rolling late and she’s capable of posting the upset if the fractions are in fact fast and contested. BACKYARD FUN is another who stands to benefit from the expected pace scenario; obvious threat off that sharp debut score. AGORA fits well off that last Beyer/effort; she should be perfectly spotted off the speeds yet again.

THIRD RACE

IN R DEFENCE merits respect off that last running line, and the resulting Beyer puts him on the short list of contenders; tactical speed should ensure he’s well spotted from the start. LIMEHOUSEGAS ran a decent race to close for the show in his return, as he was against the race flow in that fairly paceless sprint; the one to fear late. KEEP ME GROUNDED has steady figures and moves to a barn that’s clicking at 27% with new faces; been in search of a win for awhile but this foes seem like a very good spot for him in terms of his Beyers.

FOURTH RACE

THE CAT ISO NT HERO O Fisk into three prior starters, all winners, and this filly’s breeze s suggest that she has some speed; expecting her to come out running for a barn with decent stats with firsters / maiden claimers. MEAN QUEEN came running for the show in her debut after a slow start left her with too much to do; obviously, a clean getaway would move her way up. SHEZA SASSY LADY drops again and has license to improve at this bottom level.

FIFTH RACE

LADY BREANNA is kin to two starters, both minor winners, and she doesn’t meet the deepest field of Maiden Special Weight sprinters for her debut; sports a couple of nice works and hails from a barn which excels with firsters. QUICKLUCKYCOCO threw a clunker in her local bow but she has back figures which give her strong credibility with these; deserves another shot. INTROSPECTIVE didn’t break all that well against a bulky field in her debut but she ran a decent race nonetheless; seems to be a much better fit with these.

SIXTH RACE

CHICORY BLUE gets back on the main track again, and while he has won on the turf this does appear to be his best surface; he was 1st or 2nd in each of his last three starts prior to that last one, all on this strip, and though he’s looking to come from off the pace he should get help from the speeds today. INVASORS WIND was against the race flow in each of his last three starts, but he’s another who figures to benefit from a contested pace today. BEST OFFER has the speed to stay close and should get first run on the stone closers; likes to be close but can also rate and make one run.

SEVENTH RACE

FASHION RUNAWAY was well off the board in both of her two starts off the long layoff but she was overmatched in both, and also could have

very well needed those sprints; expecting an improved effort on the drop. SONORA gets back on the dirt, and though the effort two back was dull a slow start cost her, as that was a race at an abbreviated distance; prior Beyers put her in the mix. ANIMAUXSELLE was beaten only a length in her latest, and she’s another who can be forgiven for a sub-par effort at 5 1/2 furlongs, two back; tactical speed should ensure a favorable trip.

EIGHTH RACE

SALTY KINDA DOG was in against a deep field in his lone turf/sprint try to date, and though he failed to be a factor late he showed good speed there; willing to take a shot that he’s better than that running line would indicate, as he’ll be a square price. AWESOME AT LAST has tactical speed and hails from a barn which is proven with turf sprinters, two traits a vast majority of successful grass sprinters possess; another who should offer value. TIZK TIZK has some of the better grass figures in the field and is thus the likely favorite; note trouble in his lone turf sprint try, in his career bow.

NINTH RACE

THE CHANCHI caught the eye with a strong late run two back, and he looked like a winner in deep stretch last time, only to be run down on the wire; might be able to make a perfectly-timed run under veteran Chuck Lopez. CLOSING STRIKE adds blinkers and is an obvious stretch threat today after running a solid race in defeat last time, closing ground late in a race where the speeds held the edge; barn does well with this equipment change. WHISTLE ME HOME comes out of the same race and is another who was hurt by the race flow; better set up today van move him way up.
