BEST BET: RACE 3, PINK LLOYD

FIRST RACE

CRIME WAVE is by the high-percentage debut sire Tiz Wonderful, the sire of the G2-winning SoCal sprinter Selcourt. He wintered in Ocala before working a half from the gate on the Tapeta here May 4, and has blinkers on. POINT OF ORDER is descending from the maiden special weight ranks for his season opener, while adding blinkers and Sutherland. DRIVE ON ran fifth in his lone 2yo start vs. maiden special company. The gelding is a half-brother to the stakes-winning sprinter Puntrooskie.

SECOND RACE

FORESTER’S DESTINY raced quite wide throughout over an inside-biased track when fifth in his final ‘17 try for $20K. He’s worked extensively leading up to this $16K claimer going seven furlongs, a suitable distance for him when he’s on his game. REMEMBERING MICKEY dueled through soft splits before tiring when returning to the local scene in a $20K starter. He was previously victorious in gateto-wire style on the Gulfstream grass, and should be a speed threat. DAN THE TIN MAN annexed a five-furlong dash at this level here April 22 after shipping in from Oaklawn. The classy veteran is suspect going this far.

THIRD RACE

PINK LLOYD seeks his 10th consecutive stakes score in this OS event, which he won last year in a time of 1:08.59. He lowered Woodbine’s six-furlong synthetic track record in his season debut in the Jacques Cartier Stakes, and doesn’t have much to beat in this four-horse tilt. LOKINFORPURSEMONEE hasn’t started since July 14, but the multiple stakes winner can fire while fresh and gets leading rider Hernandez. Win-shy GOODOLDHOCKEYGAME was supplemented by PINK LLOYD’s trainer, Robert Tiller, who has won this event four times.

FOURTH RACE

LOUISIANA PURCHASE earned a 73 Beyer when graduating at first asking over the talented Sable Island and Water Polo in September. He came up empty in a Nov. 11 allowance that was tough, and is going on Lasix for his return to action in this wide open N1X. TRAPPER’S DELIGHT prevailed in the front-end battle and the war in his five-furlong debut April 29. He’s an adequate fit here from a Beyer perspective, and could be the dominant speed. ROYAL CREED has worked fast in preparation for his first start since his Dec. 7 graduation in the slop at the Fair Grounds. STORMFUHR is another comebacker with some rapid morning moves.

FIFTH RACE

REDWIN ROMP raced wide all the way when a non-threatening eighth in her five-furlong comeback. Her lone route attempt was a distant fourth in a tough maiden special at 2, and the morning glory deserves another chance around two turns here with the 10-pound bug taking over. PATMOS is stretching out to her favorite distance with a seven-furlong tightener under her girth. TORNADO CAT wasn’t beaten all that far in six-furlong seasonal bow. Use her on the bottom of vertical wagers, along with the winter-raced I MISS YOU, who could lead the way.

SIXTH RACE

FUHR LOVE set a quick pace and kept on going to land her five-furlong debut after breaking inward from the one-hole April 28. She could be the speed of the speed in this six-furlong N1X. I’LL TAKE THE CAKE rallied four-wide to finish second for the second straight time in an N1X in her return. Her versatile running style could be an asset here with lots of speed in the lineup. SANITY came from fourth to barely get up in time in a $20K starter following a sabbatical April 22. FRAGRANCE, who was a vet scratch April 22, has been working right along.

SEVENTH RACE

KAPELLMEISTER came from just off slow frac-
