BEST BET: RACE 6, GREGORY SUN

FIRST RACE

WITHOUT REMORSE the logical choice in opener returning to level at which she was very competitive two back with the caveat of that one month gap in reported works on tab prior to most recent drill on 6/13. Should be forwardly placed in a race lacking a lot of pace. GOLDEN DECISION was taken too far back last time losing best chance and another who should be close up from outset if more aggressively handled today. Best good enough here. AFFLUENTIAL looks like he was claimed with turf in mind and one of several from this barn shipping down from PM to try the inner for first time this afternoon.

SECOND RACE

TREATHERLIKESTAR raced well from tough position between horses in solid main track outing last time, will expect to see her rated off all the inside speed in this lineup. LADY’S ISLAND the quickest of the quick here especially noting that last 1/2 mile drill at PM prior to chasing super fast pace in turf sprint last time. Has held own with much better. SOLFATARA a question on the layoff and turn back but another who would benefit if this one ties up late.

THIRD RACE

MORE MIA a closer in a field loaded with speed. Working well for new connections on dirt. Exits key race when not badly beaten by likes of Padilla. FEDERAL RESERVE perhaps speed of speed here if away running from outside. Another getting a little class relief today. One to catch? GO GONE GONE also has a ton of early gas, part of the mix throughout.

FOURTH RACE

LIGHT SHOW and R LUCKY DICE a couple of intriguing looking new faces from top debut barns and well prepared to launch their careers for this low tag. Former is out of a stakes winning mare with plenty of works on resume’ prepping for bow. Tabbing board for clues in this one. SECRET PLEASURE logical off last pair but now a beaten favorite on a couple of occasions, perhaps vulnerable at short odds again if one of the new faces can run.

FIFTH RACE

TRUE HEIRESS showed improvement switching to turf despite breaking from impossible post and note Jaramillo has landed here rather than a couple of others he rode last time. NANO LINK an interesting new face to the category. Flashed good speed after poor start in only previous try, will have to outrun La Duquesa to the top to be effective in return. CLOUDY DAY has a second and third in last couple for this tag, cannot ignore or leave out of the equation for at least minor share.

SIXTH RACE

GREGORY SUN the day’s best well spotted on the drop and return to main track. Should relish the class relief. SMART RETURN has worked well enough on dirt to merit a look switching to surface for only the second time in career for hot barn. FORCE exits even try over wet track when dropped here last time. Eligible to improve if back on dry land today.

SEVENTH RACE

VENDITA shaky call in wide open spot off the re-claim by Biancone barn. Has been absent from win circle a long time but might get the right pace set up to fix that issue at his best. PRADO VISION steps up off near career best effort, could return quick dividends off the claim. TERI’S BIG HEART another in new hands since last time and certainly with credentials to fit with this group.

EIGHTH RACE

HIGH CANDY hard used contesting wicked fast pace when second best last time, might get loose, get brave in third start of her form cycle. GIOIELLI chased winner from gate to wire in credible bow when well backed for top connections. The logical

choice with race under her belt. COUNTRY QUEEN ran well at first asking and turned in very fast work over weekend but while all out to do so.

NINTH RACE

SLEWYS CHOSEN ONE turned in big effort behind Chad Brown odds on Night Owl last time on grass, might not look back if able to relax here. LA DEFENDER exits sharp bow chasing wire to wire Kitzel Park six weeks earlier, expecting improvement at second asking. Well spotted for her diploma. BOGULATOR hard to ignore for these connections return to level at which she just missed as odds on choice several months earlier in N Y.
