BEST BET: RACE 9, LONG ON VALUE

FIRST RACE

KADLEY is dropping to NW2 company off a closing third in an N1X. She could be along in time if she gets some pace to chase. SILENT RESPECT dusted OS/$40K maidens at first asking going six furlongs. She’s bred to go short on the dam’s side. Seven-furlong expert CAROLINA GRACE could hit the ticket going a mile here in her second start off the bench.

SECOND RACE

SOUL PLANET was a prominent third when debuting for Casse, who has solid stats with maiden 2yo second-timers. MARITIME BREEZE is adding blinkers after running greenly and wide when fourth as the favorite in her opener. REAL TREASURE figures to exhibit more staying power with Lasix.

THIRD RACE

RIDE A COMET looks best among the four Casse entrants in this overnight stakes. He’s unbeaten on the grass, which included a sharp score in his local debut. EL TORMENTA got away slowly before running a bit rank en route to a dominant maiden win over a mile on this roomy course May 27. BLUEBLOOD, a son of top turf sire City Zip, deserves another chance on the lawn. Leading rider Hernandez is 3 for 6 at the meet for Casse.

FOURTH RACE

SPEEDING BULLET came from a stalking position to topple $10K maidens last Saturday, when he

was claimed by a trainer who’s 2 for 6 with 1-7 day comebackers in the past five years ($2.93 ROI).

SPLASH WITH ME has had lots of chances at this $20K NW2 class. He was a hanging second in his last Tapeta start. COURT BATTLE worked rapidly the other day, and could be the controlling speed.

FIFTH RACE

STORMY SUMMER finished third when debuting over seven-eighths on the Tapeta, and then came up empty after dueling through quick fractions in a one-mile maiden special on turf. Three-quarters on the main track should suit her to a T. MAXIXE can fire while fresh as evidenced by her leading second at first asking in a driving rainstorm Oct. 15. BETH’S AURORA was competitive for the first time when second on the drop from maiden special to $32K in her latest.

SIXTH RACE

DELTA PRINCE has been working bullets at Belmont for last year’s Queen’s Plate-winning trainer Jimmy Jerkens. His last outing in September was a good third behind the future G1 winner Heart to Heart in a G2 at Saratoga. FIRST PREMIO blossomed on the Tapeta last fall, and is exiting back-to-back strong showings on the Churchill Downs grass. TOWER OF TEXAS saved ground on the turn last time in the G2 Connaught Cup before closing wide for second behind CARIBOU CLUB, who had rallied along the inside.

SEVENTH RACE

TRULY HONOURED earned the highest Beyer on the page (59) when third for a capable secondout trainer in her opener. Boulanger takes over from Hernandez, who has landed on an Attfield first-timer bred for distance. SI SI TEQUILA trailed before making up some ground to end up fourth behind the top pick June 10. She’s adding blinkers, Lasix and Geroux. DESCENTE worked decently from the gate last Sunday.

EIGHTH RACE

INFLEXIBILITY has her name in the program as the 10-furlong course record holder, an achievement that came in last year’s Wonder Where Stakes. She was recently second in the G3 Beaugay to A Raving Beauty, who subsequently won the G1 Just a Game at Belmont. BLETCHLEY had a tardy start before rallying strongly from off slow fractions to finish second in her local debut in the G2 Nassau. The Euro import is charting unknown territory going this far. HOLY HELENA endured her first loss on turf last time when fifth in the G2 New York. Use her the ‘17 Queen’s Plate winner underneath in the exotics, along with SANTA MONICA.

NINTH RACE

LONG ON VALUE was arguably best in last year’s G1 Woodbine Mile, in which he was blocked through the stretch before ending up third. He won his recent return from a long layoff at Churchill, his first start for trainer Brad Cox, who captured this turf sprint last year with Green Mask. BELVOIR

BAY is taking on the boys following a three-race win streak in stakes on the hillside turf course at Santa Anita. She beat males in the G3 San Simeon.

HOLDING GOLD can rally for a share, and LADY ALEXANDRA is another prospect for the exotics.

TENTH RACE

COOLER MIKE is worth a flyer in this prestigious event. The handsome chestnut ran big in both of his allowance outings in the spring, and has worked impressively since. Journeyman Jesse Campbell took the 2013 Plate on the front-running longshot, Midnight Aria. Queen’s Plate winterbook favorite TELEKINESIS shrugged off a challenger up front to win nd the nine-furlong Plate Trial comfortably. He came from a stalking position to lose a nail-biter at Keeneland in the G3 Lexington to My Boy Jack, who returned to finish fifth in the Kentucky Derby. Woodbine Oaks winner DIXIE

MOON, a daughter of Curlin, is bred to stay the mile and a quarter. The Oaks winner came right back to capture the Plate in three of the past seven years. WONDER GADOT is adding blinkers off a troubled second in the Oaks, a move which might cure her hanging tendencies. AHEADBYACENTURY is a must-use underneath in the gimmicks.

ELEVENTH RACE

TISHINA closed belatedly on the outside from off slow fractions, with the rail was out in lane 4, when coming off the bench in a similar spot. Da Silva will have more room to work with here in lane 1. FRITZIE’S BOY ran second in two of his last three turf excursions, most notably behind the brilliant Mr Havercamp. CANMORE should improve in his second race off the sidelines.

TWELFTH RACE

YANGTZE DELTA defeated two next-out winners while graduating with determination in her third and most recent start. GLAMANATION is shortening up to a suitable distance off a wide sixth in the G3 Selene. Following back-to-back OS allowance scores, BIG

MISTAKE figures to be a speed threat in this sixfurlong sprint. Use MADISON WAY in vertical bets.

THIRTEENTH RACE

CANDYCREET is by the high-percentage debut/ turf sire Twirling Candy. He’s worked well for this caliber of competition. HEY HOWIE placed in the majority of his turf outings over the winter at Gulfstream. CLASSIC DANIEL should flash some early foot in his turf debut. Use him in the lower rungs of intra-race bets, along with BAY OF RUM.
