- by Michael Hammersly

Race 10

TELEKINESIS, a $470,000 son of Horse of the Year Ghostzapper, beat a number of these in the Plate Trial June 9 and figures tough again – though he has no margin for error. WONDER GADOT, a stablemate of the top pick and a filly facing boys, comes off a string of good efforts including a sharp second in the Woodbine Oaks. DIXIE MOON, another filly facing boys, gamely beat ‘GADOT in the Woodbine Oaks. SILENT POET looked super romping in his only try on this main track a couple months ago. He won smartly on turf last time out but likes this track and a recent bullet says he’s thriving. (4)

FRITZIE’S BOY loomed a big threat into the lane in a turf sprint here May 27, his first start in nearly 10 months, finishing second to a horse who’s in the Queen’s Plate. CANMORE was a sharp third at this game and level here June 9, his first start in over six months. TISHINA finished full of run after a troubled start to be fifth here June 9, his first start in six months. WILLY’S CASTLE ran on well for fourth in a similar race here June 9 despite traffic issues. Race 12

BIG MISTAKE has come back a better filly, winning her first two starts this year. She obviously likes this place and her speed can have her in it from the start. GLAMINATION is dangerous as she drops out of Grade 3 and moves back to her best game, sprinting. FIRE ANGEL MIKAELA looked super winning her debut on this main track May 4. She then set the pace but gave way badly here June 10, but that came on turf and routing. (3)

Race 13

HEY HOWIE has been knocking on the door since the fall and looks ready to break through. CALCULATIN’ CAT hasn’t been seen in over 22 months but he showed talent and has worked well for this. CLASSIC DANIEL comes off two smart main-track efforts here. It’s his first start on turf but he’s bred for it. (3)
