BEST BET: RACE 10, POWERGIRL

FIRST RACE

VISIONARY RULER has never won on grass but is an 8-time winner on dirt and will appreciate the surface switch after chasing the pace before coming up empty as the chalk in a $12.5 claimer on the lawn June 17. He is also dropping to a new low and with three solid interim works should be tough to handle. BABY CAT won the last time he sprinted and won’t mind the cutback in distance after fading in his latest route attempt at Parx. VIVID IMAGE does his best running late and could get up in time to spice up the exotics.

SECOND RACE

EARNED SUCCESS is perfect in sprints and the 85 Beyer he received for his win here in a first-level $20K optional claiming race June 24 stands out. With just three starts he probably hasn’t reached his full potential and he should be a handful if he continues to progress for Brown who knows how to get the best out of them. GIANT TRICK was no match for the top pick two back but he ran a big race in his next start and a similar effort would put him in the mix for the runner-up spot. WINNING THE MEDAL is a stakes winner on dirt and could be sitting on a big effort in the third start of his current form cycle after gong unplaced in a state-bred stakes race on turf at Parx.

THIRD RACE

Navarro shows confidences in SHES DYNOMITE by doubling her price after she set fast fractions on her way to sharp win in her first start of the year. Catch her if you can. TEARLESS will appreciate the move back to her best distance and the easier company after looking like a threat in a $20K optional race won by another Chad Brown-trained potential star. She has speed but can stalk and could get first crack at SHES DYNOMITE with Lopez picking up the mount. BOOMERANG MISS can stalk and finish and could be sitting on a big effort in her third start this year after an improved effort in the Jersey Girl.

FOURTH RACE

GOING ABROAD seems to like it here, is capable of putting races together, and he sure looked good winning his latest. He will have to deal with other speed but he drew the outside post and he could get a nice trip from a stalking position. PHONE MY POSSE was the runner-up at this level July 21 and should get a similar trip from a forward position. DON’T MAKE IT EASY seems to have moved forward since he went unplaced in his last start here. It is encouraging to see Rosado, who was aboard for Easy’s improved races out of town, retain the mount. HIGH FIVE COTTON flopped as the chalk last time but he seems capable of winning what appears to be a wide-open event if he shows up with his best stuff.

FIFTH RACE

PRENDIMI just missed going this distance two back and he chased a fast pace before settling for third in his latest sprint last Sunday. He fits better here and if he can handle the quick turn around he should be right there. The barn has had success bringing them back this quickly so we’ll assume he’s good to go. BEST CHOICE and OPTIC WAY are the only horses with wins going around two turns. BEST CHOICE is capable of stalking what should be an honest and contested pace. OPTIC WAY looked good winning his first route attempt in just his second start, and being a lightly-raced 3-year-old could have plenty of upside.

SIXTH RACE

ZANDAR is dropping a notch after finishing third in a race won by Johnny U who repeated in a $16K claimer that was washed off the lawn. ZANDAR, who has some back class, came back with a sharp work and appears to be trending in the right direction. ZEUS ODIN is the speed of the speed and could take them all the way following a solid effort in a $15K

claimer at Laurel in the second start of his current form cycle. He does have a habit of settling for minor awards, though. TREE SHAKER is two for three on turf and could help spice up the exotics if he can build on his win going longer in a $16K n3L in his win over this course July 1.

SEVENTH RACE

EBONY BALL couldn’t keep up to Sensational Toy, who was sensational again when she won a firstlevel allowance race with an 84 Beyer in her next start at Parx, but she finished a clear second and a similar effort puts her right there. Her race two back makes her the winner. BLANK PAIGE has won half of her starts and could be the one they have to run down. She is certainly trending in the right direction. HUACHUCA as a solid record over this surface and can fire fresh for Klesaris who has solid numbers with horses coming back in this time period. The winner of her race two back earned an 84 Beyer when she repeated in a $32K optional claimer at Laurel on June 29.

EIGHTH RACE

BABY ISABELLA is versatile and will find these easier to deal with than the horses she was facing in a $20K starter race in her latest. The horse she beat in a $20K conditional claimer June 17 just missed right back and then won her next start with a 70 Beyer. Isabella is also capable of rallying into what should be a fast pace. PUNTO DE ENTRADA took them all the way in her her latest and can repeat if she is able to avoid getting into a duel with Shades of Grey.

TANDA’S JOY is lightly raced and could improve in her second start on the East Coast. CRUISEWIT HBRANDON is moving in the right direction after missing all of last year.

NINTH RACE

CLAIRVOYANT LADY may not have cared for the wet track in her latest in a tougher spot at Belmont and could be tough to handle if she runs back to her easy win in a $25K claimer in her previous start. The 6-time winner knows where the wire is. DISTINCTIVE LADY won her only start here two back and the horse she finished directly behind when she was coming off a two-month layoff in her latest at Delaware earned an 83 Beyer when she won a $10K starter race at Parx in her next start. SHE’S STUNNING overcame adversity to win her second straight on dirt and she handled this track well in her only start here.

TENTH RACE

POWERGIRL romped in her debut and the 65 Beyer she received is better than nd any of her rivals have ever posted. She is out of a stakes winning mare who won four routes so she could thrive at the distance. Her trainer also has solid numbers in all the relevant categories. LOST PRINCESS could move forward in her second start back after getting waxed for the second straight race by Kodial Katie. She did finish well clear of POSTINO’S SECRET who won’t mind the shape of the race and should be heard from late. 175 Oceanport Ave. Oceanport, NJ 07757 (732) 222-5100
