SIXTH RACE

-

COOL MOVER aggressively spotted off the claim, taken to be along at his best with any help up front. BETA MAX might prove a bit of a sleeper making just his second career try on dirt. Worked well enough to merit a look at the price for this tag. PEGASALL out-gamed by an 11-1 first timer returning from the extended vacation over a wet track on Labor Day and logical of course with one under his belt.

SEVENTH RACE

TIZ TAS TIME was well backed at first asking, showing brief speed before fading late in traffic. Sheds blinkers, switches surfaces, gets another chance at what may be a little better price as kin to one previous inner course winner. TAPITS LAST DANCE launches career in a pretty cozy spot for a barn with a good mark at placing maiden claimers at first asking. Sire off to a good start with his first timer turf runners. Tab board for further hints. MADAME BARRISTER another new face by decent turf sire Animal Kingdom. Flashed good speed in the gate prepping for bow.

EIGHTH RACE

YES SIREE takes big drop in company off a couple of dull showings since impressive maiden win. Figures to put his ample speed to good use here for Paco. Shouldn’t look back. STRAIGHTAWAY MAY perhaps the best alternative should top one falter returning to dry land while exiting key race in the slop on 8/25. JACKS A WARRIOR holding form nicely since changing barns off the claim. Ran big in key Mr. Sheen dash on 8/25.

NINTH RACE

RAIN IN SPAIN exits much needed showing going second off the layoff while re-uniting with favorite pilot today. Should sit a nice stalking trip behind the early leaders. ORTIGA hard to fault in current form but might not get the same cozy pace set up he had last time. SOBER ON SUNDAY had little excuse chasing Ortiga, fading late when roused although still one of the more fancied members of this lineup.

TENTH RACE

Enough pace signed on to make things easier for SIORNO and OCTOPYTHIUS during latter stages of this bottom level conditioned claimer on the turf. Should vie for major awards. DON’T TAP AND TELL caught slop in both outings since graduation day, expected to improve if able to get back on dry land here.

ELEVENTH RACE

GEMONTEER allegedly did not handle the wet track while also catching a stellar bunch in the Hall of Fame at the Spa, a race from which the winner and 3rd finisher both returned to capture graded stakes at next asking. Dominated similar here earlier this summer. FIRST SPRING continues to show promise, ran well over the local course and was second to the now two time graded winner Raging Bull this spring in Ky. Looks like the chief threat. RENAISANCE FROLIC one of three from Fawkes barn in the lineup and best of that trio if able to repeat big showing in the Kitten’s Joy off the four month freshening.

TWELFTH RACE

ONE WILD CHIC a beaten favorite in all three previous starts but now facing bottom level opposition for the first time, should not look back with these. SPRINKLED took money debuting in May, faded late and has not been sighted since. Should force issue from the fence. SKY RUN made premature run to the lead during middle stages of her latest try when showing improvement with addition of Lasix. Switches pilots, might get enough early gas to run at with a little more patient handling in the finale.
