Took a career top effort from City Rock to beat this fellow last time. DIAMOND MINT also exits a runner-up effort behind another horse on a two race win streak(Hardened). consistent sort but a bit of a hanging sort in these types of races. SMILING MASON freshened a bit off troubled outing last time. Previous pair put him right in the mix if this one falls apart at the end.

SECOND RACE

SHE NAILED IT haltered by Zerpa for same tag out of winning effort as 1/5 choice in latest. Steps up to the new level but hard to ignore considering barn’s record off the claim. Should sit a stalking trip outside Beautiful Wife. OPTIMISTIC SHOT might prove major beneficiary if the pace gets a little too hot exiting near miss going a one turn mile vs. similar in crosstown finale. SARA’S DAY never worse than second at the distance albeit around on turn, has run well going turf to dirt in the past.

THIRD RACE

EXPECT AN ENTRY an 11 time maiden but only one of those starts came for a tag. Exits freshening since somewhat disappointing showing when dropped for a price in August and working well enough on main for return. Offered as a price alternative to logical favorite and horse to beat MAMBO DANCER who has been a bit of a disappointment to this point in her career. Drops again seeking diploma, Strictly one to beat. MYSTIFY ME another getting much needed class relief and exiting a bullet drill over the sod last week at Palm Meadows.

FOURTH RACE

AWESOME CLUE as good as any in this pretty soft maiden spot. Relatively lightly raced compared to

most in here and like the fact Zayas continues to stick around. Might finally be ready to graduate with this weak group. IS THAT MAGIC the key to this one dropping again off dismal showing as 3-2 choice for twice the tag last time. Looks like the main speed although distance could be an issue at another short price. RUN GAL RUN has finished in front of preferred choice in the past and getting a rider switch for the rematch.

FIFTH RACE

C MAJOR appears nicely spotted to launch career, the well bred 3yo out of just an average turf sire although out of a mare whose three previous foals all winners. Wouldn’t have to be much. WATSCHEN a disappointment to date considering his breeding being by Tapit out of a G1 winner on dirt although return to turf could be the key to improvement. Adds blinkers, has spent plenty of time getting acquainted to the turf the past five weeks at PM. FIGHTINIRISHTABIT make third start of current form cycle, might grab a minor share at a price.

SIXTH RACE

EKHLAAS second best when falling short with bit behind 8-4 Players Luck before hitting the bench for 8 weeks off improved showing. Goes from the bug rider to Zayas and could get plenty of pace help to set up his late kick. EVOLUTION and NOBLE VENEZUELA could duke things out early, the former also coming off a recent freshened while getting a bit of a drop in class today.

SEVENTH RACE

Toss a blanket over this bunch with the pace scenario and trips deciding final outcome. CONQUEST DYNASTY has beaten same kind in the past, should get enough help up front to set up that late kick if firing her best shot today. BALADA and MI CUAIMA both fit nicely at this level but facing potential pace duel matching strides for first time since July 4.

EIGHTH RACE

BRILLIANT SCHEME a value play in nightcap switching to hot barn and returning to the turf for only the second time in his career. Is a full brother to 3 time grass winner Excluded. LITTLE TEQUILA has changed barns since big effort vs. similar returning to the grass just 18 days earlier. PLEA BARGAIN ran big two back on dirt now switches to turf for the first time while re-uniting with Sanchez. Must respect if he can handle the surface.
