BEST BET: RACE 7, MOZO BELLO

FIRST RACE

DAM LOCKS ready to graduate with repeat of last pair. Hard to look past at short price to kick off the week. MADELYN’S DANCER looks like chief threat if able to get the early jump on top choice. ME GUSTA PAPI drops, barn waking up recently.

SECOND RACE

TRIO OF CHAMPIONS well spotted off the much improved showing on graduation day returning to turf for just the second time. Should trip out nicely chasing likely pace of Forty Hits. ED’S DOG back to five furlongs, should be coming best at the end. FORTY HITS hard used contesting relatively quick pace scenario’s for the category. Could get brave if able to slow things down a bit more early on.

THIRD RACE

LOGSDON dueled winner, came out second best as Beyer continue to head in right direction. Ready to graduate with repeat of that try.LOUDON’S SONG no match for first time starter First and Three while showing improvement coming up tagged for the first time four weeks earlier. One to fear with another forward move. First time gelding GUERRERON goes turf to dirt, long to short, ran well enough despite slow start two back to merit attention for this price.

FOURTH RACE

Not going to get too creative here as FALLEN LEAF tough to look past if able to get loose, repeat last across town. Wide open if preferred choice not at her best over local sod with her recent victims CORDELE and TAYLOR’S IN ORBIT the most likely options.

FIFTH RACE

SCHOOL SONG drops off another improved showing albeit on a wet track. Still hard to look past in this spot. GEM JUAN showing some life of late. May prove one to beat. MAJOR RIDGE dons shades, drops, tries dirt looking to improve off dull

showing in bow.

SIXTH RACE

VOW ME NOW by above average turf sire Broken Vow and a half to talented turf runner Get Jets. Should take to the green, gets shaky call if handling the course. CHANNELED BY THE WIND the logical choice off last pair and in dangerous hands off the claim. PERFECT BEAM bred for the going by Perfect Soul out of a Kingmambo mare and a half to multiple G3 winner Sky Kingdom. May prove bit of a sleeper right off the bench.

SEVENTH RACE

MOZO BELLO overmatched while going two turns on grass in last pair now back on the main and back down to more suitable spot. Should get back on winning track today. RAYO MY KING may prove speed of the speed and another exiting a couple of stakes tries on turf. SHAFIRO hard to fault off promising debut, worked well enough two back to suggest improvement can be forthcoming. Looks like major beneficiary if the speed ties up at the end.

EIGHTH RACE

VENEZUELAN SPIRIT exits her best yet and takes on a new pilot for GPW bow. Too good for these off that last one. THREE QUESTIONS has had plenty of chances, still winless after 15 tries. Gets Edgard back up, hard to deny for at least another minor share. HONOR INDY had no excuse after cruising up front on a slow pace dropping to this level last time but still hard to toss off anything close to her best.
