HOLLYWOOD OVERDOGS lost his best chance at the start in his debut, and he could improve dramatically with the switch to turf. THAT SCOUNDREL will be wide if he scratches in off the AE list but with the addition of blinkers he figures to show more tactical speed (2).

SANTA ANITA RACE 3:

ARCTIC ROLL makes her U. S. debut and lands in a seemingly good spot for this. DEARBORN has steady Beyers and decent speed, which could be enhanced with the addition of blinkers. SUTRO surely appreciated the extra distance when stretched out last time (3).

GULFSTREAM WEST RACE 8:

CITY ROC has speed but can also rate, and that should translate to a good trip regardless of how this race shapes up. WEST OF EDEN draws outside but he could be the one they have to catch. KANTHAROS’ IMAGE makes his third start off the layoff after a slight regression in his second try back (3).

LAUREL PARK RACE 10:

SILVER DAGGER was behind Charlie Mops in his last try on the green but he ran well there, as he was trying to close in race that featured slow splits. He won three straight prior to that and he can get back on track here with a little pace help and a clean trip (1).

GOLDEN GATE RACE 5:

STATELY FOREST debuts for a highpercentage barn. YAK ships from Southern California and he’s clearly dangerous with the locals. EARNEST was in a pair of races where he was against the flow, and he stands to improve if he gets a better set up. HAWK’S RISING goes long on the main track for the first time but he could get loose despite the outside post (4).
