BEST BET: RACE 6, PAY FOR PEACE

FIRST RACE

JENNY’S VICTORY led until the final strides last time before ending up second to Rose Ring, who returned to beat $20K NW2 stock with a 64 Beyer. She’s back in another B-level maiden special here after a break, and could be the controlling speed. DANCE READY failed to show her customary speed after getting away slowly Oct. 27. She could get back on track under Da Silva, who was aboard for all of her best efforts. CONQUEST BAD GIRL can garner some of the scraps following a layoff.

SECOND RACE

LADY BELLA crushed $10K conditioned rivals going nine furlongs in front-running style Oct. 5. She can rally effectively when she sprints, which makes her dangerous in this seven-furlong starter allowance. I’LL TAKE THE CAKE benefited from a speed duel when she came from fourth to win a recent $25K claimer with an improved 73 Beyer. BURBANK ROAD landed on the edges behind the latter in that six-furlong sprint. She figures to be a speed threat here on the stretchout with Da Silva aboard.

THIRD RACE

ADIOS MUCHACHO just missed to an unbeaten rival in a turf sprint at this level 13 days ago. The stalker is probably better on the Tapeta, and his trainer has solid stats second-time off the claim. ROYAL LASER was surprisingly flat in a recent Tapeta route. The turnback to three-quarters should enable him to rally for a slice of the pie under Wilson. AMEN ALLEY could prove best among the two Casse front-runners. Use EXECUTIVE SIGHT underneath in the exotics.

FOURTH RACE

SKIPPED HIM has worked adequately for this caliber of competition. Souper Speedy is Ontario’s leading freshman sire and leading sire of 2yos— he’s 4 for 11 with first-timers. BRAVER THEN WE ARE missed the break in his recent subpar showing for $32K. He was previously second for $40K, and should be in the hunt. CRAWL FROM THE BAR was a disappointing second at 3-5 for $32K Oct. 12. He could hit the ticket as an underlay. Toss HEDEMAN in the super.

FIFTH RACE

NORMA’S JOY is by North America’s perennial leading turf sire, Kitten’s Joy, who’s gotten 14.5% 2yo debut winners. Her dam won the G3 Natalma, but she’s been a poor producer. This homebred has worked quickly on the turf. TALLULAH DARLING set soft fractions before fading to third last time in a seven-furlong maiden special on the lawn. KITTEN’S FINEST is another debuting daughter of Kitten’s Joy. The inexpensive 2yo purchase is a full-sister to three stakes winners, and her dam has dropped seven turf winners. Use TRULY HONOURED in the tri and super.

SIXTH RACE

PAY FOR PEACE began slowly before racing threewide and was along for second behind a future stakes performer when trying a route in his latest. The third horse from that event subsequently graduated for $32K (49 Beyer). MOON MAGIC is out of a route winner, and the son of Old Forester is eligible to improve on the stretchout in the second race of his form cycle. LUCAS N’ LORI pressed the pace before fading to fourth behind the top choice in his second race Sept. 26. Use him on the bottom of vertical bets, along with WHITE WEDDING.

SEVENTH RACE

COLEYVILLE put two dismal losses behind him last time when he came close to beating $20K conditioned stock on the main track. He’s equally adept on either surface when he brings his A game, and another strong performance could be in the cards. FAMILY KITTEN is back on his preferred surface (assuming it remains on the grass) for his second try off the McKnight claim, a high-percentage angle. HINES was beaten just three lengths after racing wide all the way in his recent return from an extended layoff, a race he had to have needed.
