BEST BET: RACE 4, RAGING TOWN

FIRST RACE

Wednesday night’s program is highlighted by a mile and a half starter allowance on the grass. In the opener, FUDGE PROUD is appealing as one who has seen steeper. The drawback is that he gives up recency to these as this marks his first out since June. DIVINE DANCER was a winner at this sometimes-demanding distance of six and a half furlongs back in September at Remington. BOSS HOSS ROSS exits a quick race and has reason to be closer to the pace than he found herself in his most recent out.

SECOND RACE

SAVED BY ZERO has moved forward with each of his starts at the Remington meet and could be sitting on a peak effort in this, his third out since August. He also owns one of the field’s best lastrace Beyer Speed Figures. NORTHERN TRAIL was prominent over “good” going last out and might be better served with firm turf. He has class appeal as one who has seen steeper. STERLING APPEAL finished right behind top choice last time out.

THIRD RACE

WHO’S FOOLING WHO has caught wet tracks in each of her starts and performed. She is moving back into the overnight ranks after a stakes-placing against statebreds. DOODLING DEBBIE was a sharp winner over a wet track in her last start. She meets winners for the first time and owns one of the field’s best last-race Beyer Figures. MARIA CHUCHENA got it right in her debut and for her first clash with winners has turned a bullet five-eighths, going in 59.40 seconds Oct. 24 at Remington.

FOURTH RACE

RAGING TOWN returns to the overnight ranks after running a big second to multiple stakes winner Marquee Miss in the $50K Flashy Lady at Remington. RAGING TOWN set a quick pace in a race that went in good time and for the effort she earned what ranks as this field’s best lastrace Beyer Figure. The one to catch from the rail. FLIGHT QUEEN might get a nice tracking trip and has reason to fire her best shot this form cycle as this marks her third race since July. MO MO also seems like a candidate to track top choice from her outside gate.

FIFTH RACE

Fun race as these go a mile and a half on the grass. PEEJ had a big summer at Lone Star Park, winning four races over the Grand Prairie green. He represented himself well in his first start over the Remington course in August, while his last race seems like a toss out as it was moved to the main track and run in the slop. (His lone win on dirt came over a fast track.) CAROUSE put in a big run last out when just edged by Perfect to Please, who after their meeting won a statebred stakes at Remington. CAROUSE owns a series of strong Beyer Figures. HOLY FRAZIER closed well to just miss over a mile and three-eighths last out at Cby. Another of interest is SAMICEAN.

SIXTH RACE

CRUISIN COMET added blinkers last out and put up a career-high Beyer Speed Figure. He now makes the move to two turns and should be sharp for the task off the seven-eighths of a mile start. GOSPEL FREE KEY exits same race as top choice and brings a nice foundation of races into the mile start. FLOODED is another who should be sharp for the mile off the sprint start at Remington.

SEVENTH RACE

JUBAL was shooting for his seventh straight win last out when finishing fifth in a starter allowance

in his first race over the Remington surface and his first race since July. He’s back in the claiming ranks here and when last seen running for a tag he was a winner over higher-priced rivals at this mile trip at Evangeline. JUST FRED is another who is back in the claiming ranks after a run-in with starter foes and this one is appealing for the fact that he’s kept some quality company this meet at Remington. The versatile REDNECK ATTACK moves back to dirt, site of the bulk of his nine career wins.

EIGHTH RACE

PURE GREY might be best served if her race stays on the grass this time around as she’s done some of her best work since she started racing on the green on a regular basis. ONEMOREFASTDANCE draws an improved post over her last start, when she broke from the 10-hole going seven and a half furlongs. The start also was her first since May, and it came against statebred stakes foes - with both the winner and runner-up both coming back to win statebred stakes stakes in their next starts. More than capable. MARYBLUEEYES should be sharp for the move to seven and a half furlongs off the five-eighths of a mile tilt.

NINTH RACE

GOSPEL RUNNIN GAL moves back to seven-eighths and her closest finish at the meet came at the distance back in September. BRITE GRAY closed from last for second over six panels last time and as such might appreciate the added furlong in this spot. RESIDUAL is proven at this distance and is appealing for her natural speed and consistent nature.
