BEST BET: RACE 1, SELF INFLICTED

FIRST RACE

SELF INFLICTED is dropping off a wide fifth in open maiden special company to this $40K route, in which the son of Musketier is a standout from a Beyer perspective. Moran stays aboard, and addition of Lasix is a plus. STASH THE CASH came close to wiring similar last time when third for the second straight start under Contreras. DONNIE BRASCO came from fourth to edge out the latter for second in his improved third start Oct. 26.

SECOND RACE

SANDRETTI raced wide throughout last out when seventh in the Frost King Stakes, and he nearly lost his rider after breaking from the rail the time before when eighth in another OS stakes. The drop to $40K might enable him to get back on track. INTEGRIOUS stalked two-wide en route to a victory over $25K maidens the last time he saw action Oct. 5. NEWS FLASH benefited from an inside bias when he wired $32K maidens with a 63 Beyer Nov. 9.

THIRD RACE

GREEK JUSTICE showed little when going long following a freshening Oct. 27, but she’s eligible to wake up in this seven-furlong sprint with blinkers on. Note that Garcia piloted her in a secondplace finish the last time he rode her last fall. FORESTELLA is stretching out a little in the third race of her form cycle, and should be closing for a slice of the pie. PEACE SEEKER defeated easier $40K conditioned opposition after pressing the pace in a nine-furlong turf route Oct. 26.

FOURTH RACE

CUMMINGS ROAD has maintained solid form since early September, and is coming off a victory at a notch higher with a good 76 Beyer. The veteran will take some beating if he fires one of his better shots. LOVE THAT LUTE had won four in a row prior to coming up empty in a recent $10K starter. The sharp drop back down to the lower claiming ranks should make him a force to be reckoned with. VILMA awaited room on the turn before closing for third over an anti-speed track in his latest. Use him underneath in the exotics, along with MISTER NADA.

DANCE OR STROLL rallied four-wide from midpack to beat lesser conditioned stock last Wednesday in her local debut. She’s 6 for 9 on synthetics, and should be prominent off the claim by a trainer who’s had a productive meet. HOCKEY HAIR is adding blinkers off a pace-pressing third in an identical spot a month ago. He wouldn’t be much of a surprise with Moreno retaining the mount. MIZZONA is shortening up to her preferred distance of six furlongs, with the leading bug Kimura taking over. Use MOLINARO DEPUTY in the tri and super.

SIXTH RACE

SPRING IN THE WIND stalked well back in second before coming on strongly for an authoritative maiden triumph in her first outing of the year Oct. 27. She’s cutting back from six to five furlongs in this N1X, and should be dangerous as the freshest filly in the field. PICASSO MOON checked in fourth among three next-out winners when starting last in an N1X on Aug. 1. This is her second start off a $32K claim by a crafty trainer, who should have her ready for the task at hand. RAVINIA closed belatedly on the outside for fourth vs. 3yo fillies in the Oct. 14 Ruling Angel Stakes. SPRINGDETTI and REAL COAL figure to hook up in what could be a suicidal speed duel

SEVENTH RACE

STORMY RUSH was blocked behind rivals along the inside in the stretch last time in a race you can draw a line through. The durable 10yo is dropping from that optional starter to this $25K claimer with Wilson getting the call—she was aboard for his win last November. PERFECT FORESTER dominated $16K opposition after stalking a slow pace under the leading bug Kimura Oct. 26, and has since worked a half-mile. DAYLIGHT BREEZE drew favorably on the outside. The notorious slow starter could be along to pick up some of the pieces as a longshot. ESCONDERA is another prospect for the gimmicks.

EIGHTH RACE

CRY BAO began slowly before making a wide bid into contention and then faded to fourth at a notch higher three weeks ago. He doesn’t have much to beat here under Hernandez, who was up for his triumph over $10K NW2 types two back. BEALESTREET DANCER wound up second in each of his last two excursions under the live bug Fukumoto. THEREALQUAFF could hit the ticket if he fires one of his better shots. CONQUEST ELIMINATR is a wild card after struggling in a recent $20K contest.
