BEST BET: RACE 8, MEMORIZE

FIRST RACE

FRECKLES KAN stays put off the claim, stretches out, might get brave if able to relax on the lead as expected in this spot. NAILED IT has not had the best of trips in her last two starts, could wake up at a little price with cleaner sailing. INSIDE TRIP knocking on the door with this kind but now a beaten favorite in each of her last four starts. Can’t take on top at short odds once again in this evenly matched and bulky lineup.

SECOND RACE

ARCHING gets the default factor vote debuting against a very weak bunch for a barn who has had some success placing its newbies. LITTLE DIRTY GIRL got bumped last time, hung wide in her previous start. As good as any of the experienced ones in the lineu. STAGE REVIEW back to the main track and with some early foot to prove dangerous in this spot.

THIRD RACE

EBRIO easily second best while no match for runaway winner last time. Shaky nod against another very bad bunch of bottom level maiden claimers. NO CHOICE failed when well backed last time after a game showing three weeks earlier. Zayas stays. One more chance. WHY TRUST showed big improvement last time after proving no match for top one in their previous meeting.

FOURTH RACE

Doesn’t get any better here. TONG SHU comes off her best yet and that 39 Beyer looks like the winner if able to repeat the effort today. DAM LOCKS drops to this level for first time after showing speed fading late at a mile. Might be legged up off that try for an improved performance on turn back and must like the fact Zayas gives her another go. ROSES FOR MARTINA had a little early foot while taking some money at first asking. Should improve.

FIFTH RACE

A little relief from the steady dose of bottom level maiden claimers but no easier trying to sort out big field of low level conditioned claiming types on grass. THE DOW a game winner of his N2L condition in local bow, might handle the jump to N3L company off that try. FAST EDDIE E owns the Beyer edge with this bunch off last pair on drop for this tag and red hot Paco takes the call. SUMMER MISCHIEF one of several speed types in the lineup on the stretch back around two turns. could prove a bit of a sleeper returning to the lawn.

SIXTH RACE

GEOSCIENCE one of several intriguing new faces in this lineup. By above average debut sire out of a mare whose first two foals to hit the races are winners. Note several big works up above including :59 and change move on 10/10. ALIBI BREAKFAST likewise by a good first out sire and from a barn which can have one ready off the bench. LIVE FOR THE DAY ran well stretching to seven furlongs off the layoff and should relish turn back to 3/4’s although facing open, not Fla. bred company today.

SEVENTH RACE

FRED’S COUNTRY BOY by good young turf sire Country Day and a half to a couple of multiple grass winners. Kept a steady work tab this fall at Keeneland. Looks well spotted debuting for this tag. JUST WAR gets a price tag on his head for the first time while also having been gelding since last try. Post

no bargain but with enough speed to get good early position under meet’s top jock. FUTURE TREASURE also has a good deal of early foot and not only shedding those blinkers but getting Lasix for the first time today. Expecting best yet.

EIGHTH RACE

MEMORIZE the day’s best dropping to this level for the first time after failed blinker experiment when showing too much early foot, getting caught up in suicidal speed duel last time. Class of this field having graduated under a $25K tag this summer at GP. GO GO JAK a game winner over a relatively weak bunch for twice the tag on graduation day but idle ever since and showing limited work tab for return. Still must be regarded as one to beat for this barn. BLUE WHALE knocking on the door since moving across town to GPW.

NINTH RACE

SQUADRON a game winner as the 6-5 choice for same tag earlier this month. Facing a notch better but lures Lopez and eligible to score right back if able to repeat the effort returning on relatively short rest. LAYTHATPISTOLDOWN a bit of a hanging sort in last pair up north while now a beaten, short priced favorite three times running. Hard to ignore from this barn but perhaps vulnerable again as one of the choices. WHAT POWER benefitted from a race that fell apart to beat this same kind last out but do not Paco runs from this spot to take mount on preferred choice today. Still could prove beneficiary if this one does fall apart late.

TENTH RACE

BROWNS GAP back in familiar hands once again off the claim and should trip out well if able to secure expected good early position off all the speed in this lineup. DIAMOND SQUARE another who would benefit from expected lively pace, switch to Paco and advantageous inside post. Worth a flyer at a square price. BAMA BOUND logical having not finished worse than second in four starts over the track and in such hot hands but could have chances compromised some if speedy Powerline stays in the lineup.

ELEVENTH RACE

DOCTOR CHAT gets tepid not in a field loaded with speed. Showed ability to pass horses when second best for same tag two back. Might prove beneficiary of projected race flow. CALYPSO DEEP a model of consistency of late from a Beyer standpoint and another who could pick up plenty of pieces at the end with the right handling. TONY logical on the drop while exiting key race in lone N J appearance but wondering if he might need one coming off the farm showing limited work tab for return.
