BEST BET: RACE 7, PISTOLPAKNPREACHER

FIRST RACE

REVENGE AGAIN ran evenly in his most recent even thought it was two turns on the turf and his turf breeding is marginal. Now he goes third off the layoff and drops in class. WISHFUL FASHION just missed last out and it was his first going two turns. Connections thought enough of that effort to try tougher today. Even better is a recent work. What if this gelding moves forward second time routing? CELTURIAN is bred to like the grass but just isn’t that good on the grass. Is this make or break day? Connections switch riders, surface, and distance all with a bullet work in the holster. REAL LUTE exits a key race where 2 of 5 returned to win with figs of 72 and 75.

SECOND RACE

HEARTWRECKER is feeling so good that connections tried much tougher last out with the result a solid third and losing by only 2 lengths. Even running style hints at elongated sprint ability. Class drop looks just right. RAVIZZONE won at this distance only three races back and won so decisively. She exits a key race where 3 of 4 returned to win with figs of 77, 51, and 55. Works are well spaced while most recent a bullet. A not so easy distance off a layoff is a small knock. TINDERETTE is bred to love the grass but his last few on the green were just bad. Now we have a big class drop. The X factor and one worth of early tote attention. The inside two provide the pace in here.

THIRD RACE

RY GUY is working well and did try much tougher when last seen here. It you toss that route try two back then he looks a bit better. As for his most recent...it was poor but perhaps something went awry as we haven’t seen him since. His last race off a layoff was OK so maybe he can fire fresh today. TIGER MARK took a while to break his maiden but sometimes these types get a taste of winning and like it. The Metz barn is having a good meet. MAGPIE JIMMIE looks capable fresh. The leading rider gets a leg up. Not sure what happened before the break other than losing badly as the big chalk.
