BEST BET: RACE 4, CONQUEST HARDCANDY

-

FIRST RACE

PREACHER POWER the nod in a real toughee to start the day. Just missed running down loose on the lead winner in Ky. finale while making his first start in more than six months. Should improve from the outing. LOVE SICK KITTEN exits a bit of a key race that did produce a couple of next out maiden claiming grads and from which winner returned to finish 3rd in an N1X. Tyler stays and note the career best Beyer number came right here in March. J P’S PRIDE ran well in an off the turf sprint in CD finale and with enough breeding to assume grass and two turns won’t be an issue. May be a sleeper. Souper Wish has burnt lots of chalk to date but just might move forward if finally able to get on the grass.

SECOND RACE

SOL DAT SUGAR returns to her favorite track and well posted outside, figures on or with pace throughout with these. R LUCKY DICE the logical choice off the improvement she’s shown in her last pair but must prove she can duplicate those two GPW efforts over local soil. LEDECKY steps up off sharp M2L tally, should be coming strong on turn back to 6 furlongs.

THIRD RACE

MISS HARRY flashed speed, faltered late exiting much needed try at Keeneland now comes up tagged, could stand some catching if able to shake loose with these. MOON EYES by Kantharos has put in lots of miles in the a.m. prepping for bow. Flashed speed from the gate here back in July. Attracts Jose O. Wouldn’t have to be much to win at first asking with this group. Tab board for further clues. CHAMPAGNE BLISS looked like a good one working this summer at Spa but has not quite panned out although exiting improved showing when tagged for first time in latest. Knocking on door for this price.

FOURTH RACE

CONQUEST HARDCANDY, the day’s best, back in familiar hands, looks like controlling speed. Should not look back with repeat of any of her best local tries. . THINKIN COWTOWN another horse for course returning to the site of all five previous wins. NOTAPRADAPRICE knocking on door with this kind.

FIFTH RACE

SOUTHERN TODDY strictly by default debuting with this weak bunch. Has been well prepared for her bow by high percentage debut barn. ALL ABOUT HAY comes off her best yet behind class dropping Tong Shu. OLIVIA’S DREAM has the speed to be dangerous if away cleaner than last time when never involved as short priced favorite.

SIXTH RACE

DIZZY GILLESPIE back to a one turn mile, trounced this same kind by ten lengths here last spring. May have to out last SANFILIPO who has been freshened since finishing fourth in key race on 9/13, the winner and second place finisher returning to capture next starts with 71 and 73 Beyers respectively Not facing that kind here. CHARLIE THE GREEK back to more suitable company, beat this same kind on wet track in June but must avoid wide trip from tough outside post.

SEVENTH RACE

SINATRA just missed for same tag returning locally from N J and already a five time winner on the course. As good as any with clean sailing. BAY BRIDGE in new and dangerous hands since another good effort last time in Md. UNO EMAYO logical off last pair but has yet to prove mettle over this course.
