BEST BET: RACE 6, PINK SCRIBBLES

FIRST RACE

GRAY PHANTOM chased home the classy stakes winners Where’s the Widget and Florida Won last time when sixth in a tough optional starter. The versatile gray should be more prominent in this $25K claimer, with Da Silva aboard for the first time. SECOND STREET rallied from eighth to finish a lapped-on third during the portion of the Nov. 25 card that favored speed. FORESTER’S DESTINY benefited from an inside bias while parlaying a perfect stalking trip into a victory at this price Nov. 9.

SECOND RACE

COOL GIZMO stalked a lively pace while running evenly for third against $8K maidens the other day. He could make some noise at a square price vs. these $12.5K maidens. GRAND OASIS rallied inside from off rapid fractions to lose a nail-biter to the dropping favorite for $10K on Nov. 25. SPIRIT OF YORK is plunging in value following a layoff, and is hard to gauge with blinkers off. Boulanger was aboard for his best race.

THIRD RACE

HEYDON’S CASE saved ground on the turn before closing wide from fifth for second when favored in a longer sprint at this $10K B class Nov. 30. He has more speed to run at this time. WHERE’S THE GOLD landed on the edges behind the top pick that day, one start removed from when he beat $10K NW2 stock going three-quarters. SELLING OUT is turning back from a route to the distance of his second-last victory.

FOURTH RACE

LOVE THAT LUTE won each of his last five races when tagged, most recently for $5K. His only loss this fall came in a $10K starter, during which he pressed a fast pace before tiring over an anti-speed track. SNIPER is moving up a notch while seeking his third straight win going seven-eighths. The closer figures to be the main threat to the top choice if he stays in the zone. Use RED AT LAST and COLLEEN’S SAILOR on the bottom of vertical wagers.

FIFTH RACE

PRINCESS FABIANA placed in each of her last two starts going three-quarters. The daughter of the promising young stamina sire Cairo Prince is out of a sprinter who’s produced a route winner, and her trainer excels with routers. SAMURAI QUEEN was overmatched last time against the boys in the Coronation Futurity. She was competitive in each of her two previous outings going long vs. maidens. FINE LADY is stepping up off a closing second vs. OS maidens, which was her first venture round two turns. MUSKOKA LADY, a daughter of classic winner Afleet Alex, is a half-sister to five route winners.

SIXTH RACE

PINK SCRIBBLES rallied towards the inside from sixth to finish just a neck behind the winner while earning her second straight 59 Beyer Nov. 18. The cutback from seven to six furlongs isn’t ideal, but she could be along in time with Hernandez taking over. NEVER SOBER was carried wide in the stretch before coming up three-quarters of a length shy of the front-running winner when heavily favored going five-eighths in her latest. CARMEN IS MY NAME stalked three-wide en route to finishing third behind the latter in her improved second race Nov. 24. Consider COURT RETURN for the tri and super.

SEVENTH RACE

JACK’S MEMORY lacked room before rallying for second when experimenting around two turns Nov. 11. She shouldn’t mind cutting back to a long
