LOS ALAMITOS RACE COURSE SIXTH RACE

ing at GG the past few months but she’s proven on dirt. The last 2 times she ran for this price, she won easily. BLUEBERRY PRINCESS found straight maiden waters too deep, but did flash talent including running 2nd here Sept. 13. After a layoff she came back for $50K here Dec. 7 and was a respectable 4th. She drops further and that might do the trick. Nine of her 10 sibs are winners including Mandated Bliss (55-6-2-3, $164K) and Charlie and Chris (48-10-9-8, $209K). PABLO’S DREAM was no factor in her debut here July 4 but not only can you always forgive a debut run, it came vs. tougher straight maidens (in fact, eventual multiple G1 SW Bellafina ran 2nd). She hasn’t run sine but has worked steadily and returns with the most important drop in the game. Her 2 sibs are winners including Dream On Brother (16-6-2-1, $42K). GOODTINGSCOMINPINK has worked well for her debut for a trainer who does quite well first time out.

SEVENTH RACE

GALILEAN, a $600K son of 2yo male champ Uncle Mo, ran splendidly in his first 2 starts, winning his debut (in a stakes) here Sept. 22 and then finishing a game 2nd (beaten just a neck while finishing 16 lengths clear of 3rd) in another stakes at SA Nov. 3. Anything close to a repeat of those 2 outings means the others are running for 2nd. OUR SILVER OAK ran 3rd in that Sept. 22 race won by the top pick, beaten just 1 1/4 lengths, so he’s got ability. He came back to be a sharp 2nd vs. open optional claimers at DMR Nov. 12. TIVAN races on dirt for the first time after some good work on GG’s synthetic track, winning 2 of his first 3. He won a stakes there Nov. 10 and then ran 4th in another stakes there Dec. 1. So, he’s got some quality, tactical speed and versatility and there’s no reason with his pedigree he shouldn’t handle dirt.

EIGHTH RACE

BABY BEAR’S SOUP has blossomed of late, romping over $8K foes at DMR Nov. 17 and then easily winning a race just like this here Dec. 6. He’s shown versatility, too. GO GHETTO ran 2nd to the top pick in that aforementioned Nov. 17 race and came right back to easily beat $8K claimers going a mile there Dec. 2. He cuts back in distance but is 2-for-4 at this shorter trip, and he’s 2 for 4 on this track. Hess Jr. also saw fit to claim him out of that Dec. 2 win and the fact he returns him with no tag attached bodes well. CROISSANT comes off a decent 3rd to the top pick in a race like this here Dec. 6. That was his first start in a couple months so he’s eligible to improve.

NINTH RACE

AVANTI BELLO is a terrific old warrior - hey, you don’t win 9 times by accident and it was just a year and a half or so he was facing stakes runners. He finished a sharp 3rd for $32K at DMR Nov. 16 last time out and not only did Yakteen see fit to claim him (he 2 for his last 7, 29%, off a claim) but he brings him back in a spot where he can’t lose him via another claim. That Nov. 16 outing looks even better, too, when you note 2 he beat that day came right back to win. SECRET TOUCH looked like a new horse blasting $16K claimers at DMR Nov. 22, pressing the issue from the start and powering home to win in a romp. If that’s the true bill then he’s awfully scary. TWIRLING TIGER continues his sharp form as he gamely beat $16K claimers at DMR Nov. 30. Like the top pick he was claimed by Yakteen and he’s 14-for-25 (56%) in the exacta.

TENTH RACE

TYPHOON HARRY pressed the issue vs. tougher before fading to 6th at DMR Nov. 22. Not only can he benefit from that outing, he can reap the rewards of today’s drop and the return to this track as his best work (lone win, 1 of his 2 2nds) came here. GIDDYMEISTER was a non-factor 4th vs. more expensive at DMR Dec. 1 but today’s drop and move to this longer trip may get him back on track. ODYSSEY EXPLORER appears to have figured things out as after failing to win in 19 tries he rallied to beat maidens at SA Nov. 4 and then rallied to be a good 2nd at this trip and level here Dec. 6. See you all at SA!
