BEST BET: RACE 8, RANGER MARINI

FIRST RACE

SUPREME RUSH figures a good price. Is that enough? She has hit the board on this dirt in 4 of 5 starts. She figures a very good trip as we count three with front speed in this race. OK, let’s move on then. RECONCILING is feeling great and figures a good trip stalking the speeds. She loses Arrieta to next door neighbor but that’s OK as Ramgeet has been riding better of late. ARI GIA is speed between speeds and that can be a tough spot at times. This filly loves this distance and has worked three times since her last race. The one to beat while curious as to price.

SECOND RACE

TIGER MARK was feeling great going into his recent turf start but after showing some speed he tired down the stretch. That is a bit surprising as his turf breeding is actually quite good. Stevens stays put and we don’t mind the cut back to an elongated sprint all while returning the dirt. GATOR DON’T PLAY just ran too bad to be believed. He looks solid on a real dirt surface and he does lure the top jockey in Arrieta. MAGPIE JIMMIE did improve the last time he found himself second off a layoff and it did come on this dirt. Versatile style is a plus. Losing Arrieta hurts. KEWANEE COYNE exits a key race where 2 of 5 returned to win with figs of 67 and 58.

THIRD RACE

OFF THE SCREEN is by a 10% debut turf sire. Her dam never tried the grass. One of two sibs won on the grass. Since this race is for horses who have never won on the turf, it is a good spot for a first time turf runner. This horse has some speed, the rail, and Arrieta. Sounds like a good trip to us. BULLICIOUS has turf experience and some of it is actually good. Current form is fine and she even has some speed. This barn is 16% on the grass and this horse goes third off the layoff. The people’s champ? HERETOPLAY got a 56 Beyer on this sod earlier this year. Hey, it’s something. This mare did beat over half the field home in her last two starts. ISABIRD is by a 6% debut turf sire. Her dam went 2-0-0-0 on the sod. Both turf sibs failed

to hit the board.
