FOURTH RACE

-

SHARP DRESSED GAL catches a race with very little speed especially for a shortened sprint. This mare has tactical speed which in this spot could be pace pressing speed. Her most recent was much better and at 7-1 so that field was decent. Second time Arrieta can’t hurt. BERT’S BABY gets in light and comes in fresh and those should combine for some tactical zip if connections send. Only one listed work? Since this is only 4 1/2 furlongs maybe that isn’t a big deal. SINCERE WARNING should be quite the price. Her speed might be the quickest and if so then maybe she can hold longer than most think.

FIFTH RACE

THE LADY IS ENOUGH is feeling better of late and just missed as the favorite. She looks like a grinder and this is the best distance for that style. PRINCESS BECKY best dirt try came four back at Los Al when she ran evenly going only 5 1/2 furlongs. Recent turf tries were OK and that is significant as her turf breeding is marginal at best. Now she goes third off the layoff and cuts back to an elongated sprint. The blinkers go ON for good measure. This barn is 23% when returning in 7 days or less. AMY’S APPEAL got some play in her debut and we can see why as 4 of 6 sibs beat winners. The Axmaker barn is 30% with their new runners. They often use Corbett (22%). This filly draws the attack post. HOT AND SASSY and MAGIC BLAST are in the mix.

SIXTH RACE

DAPIRATE just loves this distance and can fire fresh. His last two Beyers when going 4 1/2 furlongs are 59 and 61. He exits a key race where 2 of 8 returned to win with figs of 64 and 54 (another finished 2nd with a 52 Beyer). Works are perfect. SINGAPRAYER has some speed and is feeling great. He cuts back a full furlong and if that dulls his speed some then fine as he can pass runners. BRICKHOUSE just got a nice confidence boost as the chalk. Why the new jock? This barn is 32% with their repeating winners.

SEVENTH RACE

This looks like a good spot for a long shot and boy do we have one. Enter UNBRIDLED GAMBLER who actually ran quite well in his first three starts but most bettors won’t care as they came at Rillito. After a medium layoff, he returned in Idaho and beat zero home in two starts. He sure did look like a horse that might have blew. He gets first Lasix today. Lots of speed so a good trip can be had if Francis can get this colt to relax early. GETTIN YOU HOME just missed a Beyer top by only one point. We don’t see very many horses ridden by Arrieta go off at 36-1. Can this horse put good tries together? Does he have a penchant for less? SIR KOWBOY has some tactical speed and drops in class. Local tab isn’t so hot buy maybe anything past 5 1/2 furlongs is too far (1 and 3 back).

EIGHTH RACE

RANGER MARINI came from off the pace in his most recent and ran a Beyer top. Now he goes third off the layoff. He hails from a top turf barn and we love this jock with off the pace runners. FACTORED IN is now 5 for 8 on this sod. New barn is 3 for 6 off the red tag. Arrieta stays put and this gelding gets to save ground into the first turn. WHY FRANK is often right there. This 9YO will go over a quarter of a million dollars with a W here. He often runs well from inside posts.
