SEVENTH RACE
Another re-draw from last Friday, this solid $8k starter could fall a few different ways, but once again we’ll lean toward WORBOTHOR, a steady NY-bred who’s made a decent living primarily on turf and synth; comes favorably drawn in the outer box when liable to trip out under the resurgent Castanon. A bit closer inside, NICK THE CARDSHARK (claimed from Navarro) and MAGNIFIER (still with Navarro) come the obvious threats.
EIGHTH RACE
Gonna give NATIONAL HONOR a pass for that Sept. 30 debacle in Philly while assuming Falcone has him ready for a far more representative effort after going into regroup mode; return to turf and the presence of Gallardo can surely help. ENGLISH TUDOR was a solid 2nd at this same N2L level earlier this month; the 1-for-19 is a bummer, but no denying he fits with this kind. MY RULES, JIMMY D, and WHISTLE ME HOME figure on the fringes.
NINTH RACE
Using a little creativity to get DESERT VALENTINE home first here while looking for a wicked pace to develop up front; going this additional furlong can probably help, along with FIORE (Navarro, ahem) being compromised when a few others, including QUEEN OF THE KINGDOM, press her through swift fractions.
TENTH RACE
Back as a beaten favorite, RETRO STREET can make amends when settling off the early pace under Castanon; daughter of Street Sense has shown renewed interest since Ryan put her on the grass. ASK STACY comes a prime contender as the frontrunning runner-up in the key Nov. 28 race contested by a few of these, including ‘Retro; been another nice start to a Tampa meet for Stidham. SLINGIN SAMMY B and LADY BREXIT can contend with their best. 11225 Race Track Road, Tampa, FL 33626 (813) 855-4401
