BEST BET: RACE 7, PRECOCIOUS PEACH

FIRST RACE

MEMORIZE back to a more suitable spot after being overmatched in well graded Nikki Bella dash for twice this tag. Will try to fend off logical favorite R LUCKY DICE who had little excuse when run down late as 2-5 choice for same tag last time. RETHINKME another exiting the Nikki Bella race, showed speed to stretch before fading late. Might get brave at a price if able to shake loose here from inside post.

SECOND RACE

BRENDA’S G L P dueled, just missed last time on the turf now returns to main, might prove speed of the speed under Jaramillo. PADRINONEVERQUITS chased home wire to wire winner Sandy Mischief in Parx finale, the latter flattering race returning to win an entry level allowance dash in her next start. Looks like one to beat despite coming in winless in 11 previous tries. BRING JOY drops to weakest level yet off much needed outing off the four month hiatus several weeks earlier.

THIRD RACE

EXPECT A KITTEN one of any number of logical contenders in another turf event likely to be decided by the trip. Ran well in local bow for nearly twice this tag, lures red hot jock, will need some pace help to be along in time. TANDA’S JOY second best behind class dropping, 9/5 winner in crosstown finale. Has been freshened ever since but with plenty of a.m. work on the resume’ prepping for return. MADDY’S SALSA loses Paco to Tandy’s Joy but another exiting the Clyde’s Queen race when perhaps having best chances compromised breaking through the gate pre-start.

FOURTH RACE

EMPEROR JOHN returns locally moves back to dirt and already with a big effort under his belt out of the mile chute. Might not look back if aggressively handled from the start. DUNK ran well despite an unlucky start, wide trip when beaten by class dropped Fafa under same tag last month. One to fear. WHY GOD back to more suitable spot after being over-match off the claim, well graded maiden win.

FIFTH RACE

DOSWELL has been gelded, gets Lasix since near miss in only previous start across the Pond. Kin to SW Secretary at War and works say ready for U.S. bow. LOVE SICK KITTEN has had plenty of chances but did finish third last time behind a couple of horses who returned with big efforts at next asking. Well drawn inside and with a sharp looking bullet drill at PM prepping for return.J P’S PRIDE on the improve and looks like a horse who is dying to get on the grass. Could be headed for best yet today.

SIXTH RACE

QUEEN OF BEAS did not get the best of trips when just failing to run down Pletcher firster Just Ain’t Right in her well backed debut and deserves a second chance with cleaner beginning, better racing luck. EBULLIENT dueled, faded late in only previous try with race winner returning to be second in an N1X in her next start. Could be long gone from rail. ANGELIA improved some at second asking and with a bullet at PBD to suggest best yet to come in 3yo bow.

SEVENTH RACE

PRECOCIOUS PEACH, the day’s best, taking big step up from N2L claiming win but earned high marks early and late last time and is obviously

very fond of the local course. Should take another if breaking clean, getting loose on the front end again. TAYLOR’S IN ORBIT and JERSEY LIFE two of many other evenly matched contenders should top one falter.

EIGHTH RACE

POSITIVE SKEW ran well despite slow start, wide trip at first asking now stretches out and exiting a nice work pattern that includes sharp trial in company with undefeated mate Regal Glory. Hard to look past with a race under her belt. SUNNY DALE one of many intriguing first timers in this lineup. SUNNY DALE by Medaglia d’Oro out of a graded stakes winning mare. Might be the value play in this one. WHOOPI the preferred one’s uncoupled mate and another bred for the going. Has not missed a beat in the a.m. since shipping locally two months ago.

NINTH RACE

Taking a shot at the price with recent claim TREATHERLIKESTAR who adds blinkers, stretches out off steady diet of shorter races and might just be able to steal this one if away clean to control the pace from the outset. LUZ ESTRELLA forced issue throughout, hung late behind late running QUEENS QUARTERS under similar conditions last time and eligible to reverse the decision with the right trip. The latter the logical choice having won three straight for the tag but all by margins of a length or less. Might be vulnerable at short odds if not tripping out quite as well in here.

TENTH RACE

DR. EDGAR has scratched 3 times since well graded N1X win at the Spa but proved he runs well fresh with big ‘18 debut last summer at Belmont and likely able to take advantage of what figures to be a very lively pace scenario in this spot. ATTRIBUTE perhaps the speed of the speed exiting super key race when last seen at Saratoga as well, an event that produced 3 next out winners all Beyering from 91-95 in those subsequent starts. CHIEF EXCHANGER a horse for the course and showed he can rate, rally from off the pace when beating lesser last time.

ELEVENTH RACE

DAD’S YANKEES gets slight edge in finale on the drop and turn back to six furlongs, especially if able to shake loose witihout too much fuss from speedy Shanghai Go Go. GUERRERON and MATH WIZARD logical after chasing home eye catching debut winner Maximum Security in well graded $16K maiden dash on 12/20.
