GULFSTREAM

-

last time following unlucky start but does seem to move up over a wet track.

SEVENTH RACE

QUEEN ROSE drops to cheapest level yet for hot barn, taken to run down all the speed in this lineup. MAJESTIC MAIARA second best sprinting for same tag last time but has won at a mile in the past. May prove one to catch. NECESSARY returned quick dividends off the claim winning her N2L condition at a mile and Irad takes the call again. Could handle jump to next level at her best.

EIGHTH RACE

ZAMBIAN as good as any in this extremely wide open turf claimer. Was over-matched in only local try in the Claiming Crown Emerald but with enough back class to be along with smooth sailing at a distance he’s handled very well in the past. BLACK SEA couldn’t quite get to loose on the lead Abiding Star while turning in big effort two back. Was left with too much to do and too much traffic to overcome last time. Barn owns good marks with new claims. YEAR OF THE KITTEN drops looking for winning spot after not being disgraded with much better in last pair. Yet to beat older horses.

NINTH RACE

CAP DE CREUS, the day’s best, a half to G1 winner Seek Again out of a G1 winning mare. Turned in solid turf bow when second best behind well meant Chad Brown first time turfer and 6/5 Cambier Parc in 3yo bow. Need only work out a trip from tough post to earn her diploma today. SISTER KITTEN one of many other possible contenders should top one not live up to expectations. Well drawn on the rail, caught yielding ground when disappointing at 4/5 in a race which produced two next out MSW grads. MRS. GOT ROCKS a half to Grade 2 turf winner Have AT It by Lemon Drop Kid. Should improve off even and perhaps much needed bow.

TENTH RACE

SPA JAZZ drops to bottom, has enough early foot to force or set pace if sent along from the outset with this bunch. Best good enough to win here. GRAN RED ran well enough two back to give long look from the rail although stretch running sort will need some help up front. MR. MACFADDEN got loose on very easy lead setting soft pace graduating at Tampa but well spotted looking to make it 2 in a row today.

ELEVENTH RACE

MR FRENCH hard to fault in current form. Exits another career best performance despite setting very rapid pace in ‘19 bow. Taken to extend the streak, especially if able to shake loose up front once again. NO REGRETS a bit over-matched in well graded dash making local bow just 18 days earlier. Been winless a long time but might be well spotted to finally break the losing streak today. BOURBON CURRENCY a newly minted gelding from red hot barn and re-unites with Irad for the occasion. Working well. Could be bit of a sleeper.

TWELFTH RACE

PAINT THE CORNERS one of many potential win threats here although a beaten favorite in each of last pair. Should get early drop on other two main contenders STAY SAFE KITTEN and JUST SASSY but trip the true key to this one.
