FOURTH RACE

-

SPITTIN HAVOC ran well in his debut even though he broke 9th of 11. In his second start, he broke 1st but then only ran evenly after that finishing a disappointing fourth as the favorite. Two of four sibs beat winners so his pedigree is solid. Connections find a good spot today and his upside is still better than most of these. One more time... we guess. BLANK IT is often right there and that includes a turf try two back. He has some good Beyers on the dirt. IN SIDE THE LINE is by a new sire. His dam was un-raced. Lone sib is 9-2-1-1 and earned 11K. Arrieta is 28% for Barrio. WRITE ITINTHE DUST is by a 7% debut sire. His dam went 9-0-0-2 and earned 8K. This is her first foal. BYGONE WISHES exits a key race where 2 of 8 returned to win with figs of 56 and 67. MONTANA JACK exits a key race where 2 of 5 returned to win with figs of 61 and 58.

FIFTH RACE

UNUSUAL GATOR comes in fresh and ready. The time off is short and she has two recent works. This filly is a new turf horse and she draws well. Turf breeding is very good. CHARMING JILLY B likes this grass at 4-1-2-0. She won nicely last out. Race flow is fine for a stalk and go trip. SETTLE DOWN EILEEN goes second out for new barn. She has hit the exacta on the grass in 4 of 11 starts. Her most recent when going only 6 1/2 furlongs was a tad better. NAUGHTY SWAGGER is by a 0 for 2 debut turf sire. Her dam went 2-1-0-0 on the green for 10K. Lone sib never tried the grass. SPRING SPRUNG is by a 10% debut turf sire. Her dam never tried the weeds. Lone sibling is 7-0-1-1 and only raced in Mexico.

SIXTH RACE

OLDTIMERS VISION is often a good price. We don’t think he wanted any part of the grass 2, 3, and 4 back but still ran decent in two of them. He was back on the dirt last out and ran better. That race came back key when 2 of 5 returned to win with figs of 71 and 66. His tactical speed and inside post might give his new jockey some early options. SOUTH AMERICAIN has some tactical speed and there isn’t much of that in here. That dirt mile try three back was decent and it came against better. Curious as to price. FORT CADY ran better last out. This gelding hasn’t had a break from racing for as long as we can see. New rider in Arrieta is noted.

SEVENTH RACE

JANE’S REVENGE drops in class and that is a big one going from $8,500 to $3,500. A return to the dirt is another plus as she isn’t bred to like the grass. She has route speed and that should turn into stalking speed in this spot. It is nice to see Arrieta stay put. WRIGHT WINGED exits the key common race where 2 of 5 returned to win with figs of 52 and 46. She chased a faster pace last out so maybe that is an excuse. Today’s race flow is average. Added half furlong might help theft chances if able to secure the front end. MISS TIZZY FIT won nicely two back and drops in class today. She goes third off the layoff which can only help. She gets off the rail which is another plus.

EIGHTH RACE

RUNN’N REBEL has hit the board at this distance in 5 of 8 starts even if he has yet to win. His last few are just better. He is often a good price. Race flow is fine. MIGIWEWIN just won and has put good races together before. He loves this distance at 9-5-0-1. ANTARES DREAM has some tactical speed and draws the attack post for this distance. He has won 3 of 9 at 6 1/2 panels. Turf to dirt isn’t our favorite especially when going from two turns to one so that is our biggest knock.
