BEST BET: RACE 4, SO LONG CHUCK

FIRST RACE

BUNYAN’S AXE gets a new rider and looks like he should get another perfect stalking trip chasing speed of VETTEL and Bee Keeper in the opener. Might just get the perfect pace set up to finally get job done today. Vettel runs for first time for this tag on grass. May ultimately prove one to catch. CAPE DESIDERATO comes off another improved showing and gets Paco up for first time today.

SECOND RACE

PIRATE’S TREASURE won off impressively for this tag three weeks earlier, might just handle the hike to N3L company. MANHATTAN PROJECT back where he best belongs while returning to surface over which he registered his N2L claiming win. TAKEDOWN drops to more suitable spot second off the claim. once stakes caliber sort hard to ignore if anything left with this bunch.

THIRD RACE

Hard to side against VISION PERFECT who brings modest two race win streak into this one and likely to sit in the garden spot chasing the other speed in here. IMPRIMIS has been away but training forwardly for return and perfect in three starts over the course. Another who would benefit from lively pace duel. PAY ANY PRICE back on winning track vs. lesser and always dangerous if he can shake loose although no match for preferred choice in their first two meetings.

FOURTH RACE

SO LONG CHUCK, the day’s best, held own against likes of stakes caliber Uno mas Modelo last time and not facing that kind in this starter optional claiming spot. TIME ON TARGET winless in quite some time but exiting best yet, should prove good fit with these. PARADE BLUE looks like quickest of the bunch and perfect at this distance. Dangerous if getting loose, relaxing on front end.

FIFTH RACE

GLORY OF FLORIDA broke slow, passed more than half the field debuting in a pretty hot Fla. bred MSW dash now stretches out a bit further and appears to be meeting much softer at second asking. Barn on a roll of late. Can be along with improved showing. CAN U HANDLE THIS logical after dueling with Pletcher debut winner Don’t Rush when tagged against open company two weeks earlier. Back with state breds, could prove one to catch with Prat taking the reins. TANGLED WEB another with some early foot who set lively pace of own debuting for $35K tag. Not taking much hike with Fla. breds today.

SIXTH RACE

GO GONE GONE could be just that if allowed to show his best speed for new connections off the claim. Well spotted with state breds off easy open claiming win. FRENCHMEN STREET knocking on the door at this level. May finally break through

if top one stubs his toe somewhere along the line. COOP TRIES HARDER on the fringes vs.similar in all recent tries.

SEVENTH RACE

IRISH WILLOW knocking on door at this level and well drawn inside with Saez taking the reins. Shaky call if tripping out from fence. HERE COMES JACKIE back to what appears her favorite surface. Has the speed to prove dangerous if allowed to shake, relax in front. FEEL GLORIOUS obviously the unknown factor in this spot. Tabbing board for clues here.

EIGHTH RACE

SMOOTH AS second best behind 7/5 Guerreron getting on fast track for the first time several weeks ago and need only repeat the effort to graduate vs. this softer lot. WATCH YOUR STEP dueled, faded late last time in yet another in series of longer outings. Might be ready for best yet turning back in distance today. OH DANNY BEAR no match for runaway winner while continuiing to move forward from Beyer standpoint last month.

NINTH RACE

GETMOTHERAROSE ran the unbeaten Belle Porte to a nose decision two back, the latter flattering effort stepping up to readily defeat tougher $50K starter company. Need only repeat that effort to outlast these. QUEEN BRUNETTE adds blinkers after outrunning odds despite wide trip last time. Steady improving sort may be sitting on even bigger things with the equipment change. KITTEN’S FINEST perhaps the best bred of the bunch for grass being a full to numerous infield winners. Could not overcome early trouble last time.

TENTH RACE

TWEET KITTEN succumbed grudgingly first off the claim with blinkers on last month, figures forwardly placed along with MACAGONE wheeling back vs. same kind today. Slight call in yet another of these inscrutable turf claiming affairs. The latter might be speed of the speed if aggressively handled from outset. Could return quick dividends off claim for new connections. TATHQEEF the class of the field but did hang late with little excuse when tagged for first time earlier in the meet, disappointing as odds on choice vs. same kind.

ELEVENTH RACE

GOING FOR GOLD back with maidens after ambitiously placed off series of good works in Sam Davis. Has shown enough to merit nod in a race loaded with contenders and question marks. . BERNIN’ THRU GOLD has looked sharp in the morning prepping for return. Showed big promise in lone start at 2. Must overcome sometimes tricky post for young ones at this distance. PROMO CODE has several bullets on resume’ and did hold own one a.m. at PBD with runaway TBD allowance winner Spinoff earlier this winter. Might be another good one for team Pletcher. World Affairs switched to Pletcher barn a couple of weeks ago after showing promise in the a.m. for Serpe stable earlier this winter.

TWELFTH RACE

MORTICIA rarely runs a poor one, never worse than second locally and perhaps the one to catch if away running from inside. SAMARA never better and likely to push top one from the outset. One to beat. FEAR NO EVIL another very consistent turf sprinter and ran well fresh here last winter under allowance conditions.

THIRTEENTH RACE

BAMBALINA came highly touted for debut but failed to kick on at the end now comes up first time Lasix for second try, deserves one more chance with perhaps a notch softer bunch. EBULLIENT showed another forward move switching to turf, adding Lasix herself last time. Logical off that effort. COME STORMING did not get the cleanest of trips last time after showing sharp speed in her bow. Could be ready for best yet making third start of her form cycle.
