BEST BET: RACE 2, PEGGITY

FIRST RACE

A BIT OF MISCHIEF takes big drop in company, looks too fast for these if able to get loose without a fuss. HEIDI HO also getting some class relief after being a bit overmatched off easy and well graded maiden win at GPW. Figures forwardly placed as well from inside. CLOUDY DAY could benefit if this one ties up at the end.

SECOND RACE

PEGGITY, the day’s best, steadied to avoid fallen rider and was pulled up when bet hard vs. this same kind in ‘19 bow. Training well enough to indicate she’s come out of the incident unscathed. Too good for these with repeat of previous try at this level. IS THAT MAGIC had little excuse after clearing off early last time but looks loose again facing perhaps an even softer bunch. UNRIVALED SOUL comes off her best in a while when trhyiing dirt for just the second time in her career.

THIRD RACE

HOLLYWOOD STRIKE gets similar class relief that propelled Hollywood Star to victory against this same bunch of N3L’s here last month. Might off some value in wide open spot. PORTAL game in defeat behind aforementioned Hollywood Star when dropping for this tag for first time several weeks earlier. OSKAR BLUES another exiting the Hollywood Star race when hung wide throughout in what figures to have been a much needed try off the long layoff.

FOURTH RACE

PURPLE GIRL looks loose here unless one of the new faces shows some gas. Might not look back. STAY SALTY from dangerous debut barn and like the fact Paco takes the call. IMMACULATE HEART has had her races fairly well spread of late but should prove decent fit for this tag.

FIFTH RACE

ASKED AND ANSWERED could be sleeper off bench for new barn. Note the fast works over GPW main and getting ample class relief for seasonal bow. DRAGON MOON logical after hanging a tad last time in U.S. turf debut. Runner-up Zig Zillion came right back to wire this same kind three weeks later. STURGEON second best behind Zig Zillion while continuing to hold his form at the present time. Diamond Mint dangerous if finally able to get loose but likely facing pace pressure again from Earth.

SIXTH RACE

SOVEREIGN WARRIOR switches to turf and is by excellent grass sire Twirling Candy as well as a half to a couple of previous inner winners. Works over PM green say he could be primed for big effort with the surface change. OVERLEVERAGED comes off improved showing on the drop to this level, one to beat with another forward move. COME ON VENEZUELA outlasted Overleveraged last time and obviously knocking at door for this tag.

SEVENTH RACE

COTTON TOOYAH could be the best alternative for those looking to beat the logical choice JORDY’S READY today. Overmatched in key race over muddy going last time but proven at the distance and good enough to spring the mild upset with repeat of N2L win. J R on the fringes in last pair for this condition

but a beaten favorite on both occasions. In new hands once again off the claim. TUESDAY’S ROSE another with good marks winning N2L condition and perhaps the one to catch on stretch to seven furlongs. Ability to handle the added ground the question.

EIGHTH RACE

QUICK CONNECT perfect in two starts and connections obviously wanted to get him on turf last time. Could prove right one if able to handle the green. MARCELINO showed new tactics last time dropping back, rallying late and that modus operandi could serve him well in a field loaded with speed. TWISTED LICORICE comes off far and away his best yet but likely to get tested early by preferred choice among others stepping in with winners for first time.

NINTH RACE

ROLLING BOBBY second best behind Durlyn who freaked to a 65 Beyer making first start for new connections off the claim. Does not appear to be facing that kind dropping down a notch in price for this one. SKY RUN exits best yet when out-gamed following stretch long drive although like preferred one a question on the stretch. . AWESOME HILLS showed some improved speed with addition of blinkers in last drill and already knocking on door for this tag.

TENTH RACE

DANA GRACE exits her best yet in recent starter try behind 6/5 Midtown Rose, need only repeat the effort to be along. HELEN in new hands for 3yo bow, has the speed to be prominently placed throughout. MARY LEE AND ME no match for preferred choice in their previous meeting but is proven at a one turn mile which should enhance her chances in the rematch.

ELEVENTH RACE

YOU PEOPLE didn’t draw the best of posts but is dropping to weakest level yet after breaking open gate, getting hung wide last time with much better while adding blinkers for the first time. Gets call over likely favorite SUPER MAMA if able to work out a trip under Luis from extreme outside. The latter strictly one to beat off last pair but obviously a bit of a hanging sort who has burnt lots of chalk of late. MAMBO DANCER improved when returned to turf behind Super Mama, expecting even better if tripping out for Ortiz.
