SEVENTH RACE

-

Doesn’t seem like Arindel, the prominent Fla. nursery, makes many lower-level claims, but yep, here they are with their new acquisition, LEVY LAND, who’d won 3 of her 5 previous tries when somehow failing to hang on in her latest for the prior connex at 30 cents on the dollar; regular effort makes her a major contender, regardless of the silks she’s toting. MEMORIZE stretches out after a failed turf experiment; ought to be making her presence known. AMALUNA outran her megaodds in the Added Elegance and now returns to a more realistic spot, although you’ll only be getting a fraction of that price today.

EIGHTH RACE

SAND DRIFT remains eligible for the same condition for which she just triumphed by way of the familiar 3yo exemption that’s often in play in these types of conditioned races; no reason she can’t win right back when favorably drawn toward the hedge for Luca. SECRET O’LIFE ran OK amid a bulky field in the same key 7/19 race won by ‘Drift; gray gal really started coming to hand in May. PRINCESS GABY and TAILADIOS merit respect.

NINTH RACE

Sure looks like EMPIRE POWER is in line for a 3rd straight victory as the strong summer meet continues for the Sano stable; first or 2nd in 11 of 20 starts, this 4yo has never been better, as evidenced by the gaudy Beyer he earned 2-back and his follow-up score; it’s his third start in just 3 weeks, so striking while the iron is still hot. GRAY BEAU failed to get untracked when favored in the 7/18 race won easily by ‘Power, but he’s a proven entity with more than $264k in the bank; liable to unleash a corker without prior warning. JUST KIDDING need only revert to his March/April/May races to contend.

TENTH RACE

The embarrassment of that woeful debut going short on dirt can be largely erased by MYSTIC SPARKLE with this abrupt shift to a 2-turn turf race; her trainer, Bobby Dibona, tends to excel with grassers, and truth be told, there’s just not a whole lot else in here to pick from; dramatic turnabout wouldn’t be all that surprising. GABY’S DREAM debuts off a steady work pattern for Barboza, whose numbers in most categories that apply here are above average; sure to take her share of tote play. GEA stands to have gotten a lot out of her first start; another who stands to do much better the second time around.
