BEST BET: RACE 2, BLACK SAGE

FIRST RACE

AMI’S LINK shook loose up front before fading when meeting $25K males in her latest. She’s getting some more class relief in this $15K NW2 event, and should be prominent with Kimura back aboard after a one-race absence. CAROLINA GRACE is plunging in value from a series of NW2 OS/$40K turf sprints. She might welcome the stretchout to a route in this Tapeta tilt. HANCHY brings decent sprint form to this contest, and leading rider Da Silva will guide her for the first time.

SECOND RACE

BLACK SAGE drew outside the other speed in this $7.5K NW3 sprint, and could track the leaders before going in for the kill. The versatile 4yo is switching to the Tapeta off a NW2 tally on the turf. SWEET BRYNLIE has been knocking on the door at this class. She also possesses tactical speed, and is picking up some weight with Kimura recently going from a bug to a journeyman. MAKE NO MISTAKE is dropping sharply from $25K to where she figures to get back on track.

THIRD RACE

AUDREY GRACE rallied strongly from off fast splits to beat NW2 opposition easily when Da Silva rode her for the first time Oct. 14. She has lots of speed to chase again in this NW3 route, and could strike again with her confidence on a high. BIONDETTI’S CHOICE is plunging from NW2 OS/$40K company to where she should be prominent at a chalky price. H. M. S. PINAFORE is another dropper with tactical speed who could have a say in the outcome.

FOURTH RACE

KRPAN is getting some noteworthy class relief for his third race after an extended layoff, and could track all the speed en route to a high placing. DANCING DEREK is ambitiously spotted last time for $25K following a victory over $10K maidens. Her speed should be more effective here with Fukumoto taking over. VICTORIOUS BEAR was in mediocre Tapeta form before two strong show

ings earlier this month on the dirt at Fort Erie. MY MARC ANDRE could garner some of the scraps. FIFTH RACE

TAKOTA is by the high-percentage first-out sire Society’s Chairman. The homebred is the third foal from a mare who produced a pair of 2yo debut winners, including the unbeaten stakes winner Latonka. SEA LILY dug in for second behind a runaway winner at first asking in a similar $25K maiden dash Sept. 11. Husbands retains the mount, and is 2 for 6 at the meet for this live barn. FAIRY has worked quickly for a trainer who can have on ready. RITTAMAJIG is a half-sister to the precocious stakes winners Citius, Flashy Margaritta and Bourbon Stritta.

SIXTH RACE

CRUMLIN TIME took the long way home when fourth while descending to this $7.5K NW2 level from $15K in her latest. She’s switching from turf to the Tapeta, probably her preferred surface, while moving out from three-quarters to the more suitable distance of 1 1/16 miles. CANADIAN EH is dropping from NW2 $15K company to a logical spot for her fifth race off the bench. PEUT ETRE is going to the distance over which she graduated off a wide fourth traveling three-quarters. MILLBANK MAGIC is a prospect for the lower rungs of the exotics.

SEVENTH RACE

NO QUESTION has been somewhat of a disappointment, but the BC-bred has made her way down to where she could find the mark in this $15K maiden sprint, with Salles taking over. KAY SYRAH SYRAH finished a lapped-on second the last time she competed at this level three starts ago on the grass. Contreras is 1 for 5 at the meet for Cox. Use GOLDEN PEARL and CASSIE’S RAINBOW in the lower rungs of the exotics.

EIGHTH RACE

MISS DANIELLE raced wide throughout when a belated fourth over a speed-favoring track in her penultimate start. She improved to third most recently when dropping to this level, and could put it all together in the third race of her form cycle. ADABEL finished third among two next-out winners in a Sept. 11 turf dash, and has worked twice leading up to this event. DON’TTOUCHMYSTUFF is descending to a new low and changing surfaces. D’S MULLIGAN has the look of a bit player.
