How to play

- By Kenny Peck

LEG A (LRL 8th):

BARAVELLI and HUNCA ROCK come out of the same race, a sprint which came up considerably faster than a split division $5,000 claimer for non-winners of two just three races later. MAKE THE RULES drops in class and exits a race where he had little chance to rally due to a race flow which favored speeds (3).

LEG B (GPW 7th):

MOROCCO rallied nicely for the place when last seen and now makes his third start off the layoff. BELGRANO ships back to Florida from New York and fits very well with these if able to run to his best figures. RESIDENT LIBERAL benefited from a perfect trip in that last win but Paco Lopez is aboard once again and he should be able to use his positional speed to his best advantage. NOTORIOUS NICK is clearly in good form, having hit the board in each of his last seven starts (4).

LEG C (LRL 9th):

SUNMAN may be the one to beat on the class drop back into a claimer, well below the level of the claim back in August. NAUTICAL NATURE usually turfs, and has done his best work on that surface, but he fits well based on the Beyers he posted in his most recent main track tries. FACT OF WAR makes his first start off the claim by trainer Jamie Ness, who wins at a 26% rate with same (3).

LEG D (GG 3rd):

WARRENS LIL MARGIE is easy to like after running 2nd in her most recent, posting her best Beyer since May. EUPHEMISTIC has a decent late kick when conditions are right, and she should get ample pace to set her up to make an impact in the lane. FRUITFULLY was a beaten favorite in her latest but the resulting Beyer and the drop in class and price make her the one to beat here (3).

LEG E (GPW 8th):

DELIA’S PRIDE is a bit of a shaky single but any standalone play in this sequence could be considered risky. She has improved with each start and she comes off a deceptively good effort under these same conditions, where she rallied for the show in a race where those runners with speed held the edge in terms of race flow (1).

THE PLAY:

1, 10, 13 / 1, 9, 10, 11 / 4, 5, 10 / 1, 3, 4 / 9 = $108 Ticket
