BEST BET: RACE 4, GABRIELLEELIZABETH

FIRST RACE

At press time, the prospects of turf racing for Saturday’s card seemed iffy at best. REALTOR DANNY D beat more than half the field in a key race when launching career on the dirt and working well for second outing. Should handle the grass if this one goes as scheduled being by Big Drama and a half to one previous infield winner. DRAMA IN DIXIE, also by Big Drama, a disappointment last time now comes up tagged and should stand some catching turf or dirt. INDY RIDE poorly posted if he gets in but adds blinkers and hard to ignore off last pair.

SECOND RACE

SAGAMORE MISCHIEF second best behind a horse who finished fourth against stakes company in his next start. Kin to G2 winner Bern Identity should benefit from previous experience, earn diploma unless one of the firsters can really run. NEWS BREAK by American Pharoah from top connections and hard to ignore from those two standpoints alone. Hard to assess from average looking work tab but cannot leave out of the equation from this barn.SIR KAHN broke slow, raced wide, rallied belatedly to be fourth in a race from which three of the five horses to have run back have won at next asking including King Guillermo(MSW with 88 Beyer).

THIRD RACE

Turf or dirt could be the issue with not much to choose from at all should this one move to the main. KING OF LEINSTER looks loose on the lead once again, may not look back in this spot. STEADILY also getting some class relief and probably the right one should this race be switched to dirt. PERFECT ENOUGH a hanging sort who burnt plenty of chalk when last postward nearly three months earlier.

FOURTH RACE

GABRIELLEELIZABETH nailed late after race long pace duel by Tuesday’s Rose who has now won three straight and six of last eight. Not facing that kind today. MEMORIZE competitive when dropped back to this level last time. Must respect along with SHE NAILED IT who continues to prove popular item at claim box, beat same bottom level open claimers during Gulf summer meet.

FIFTH RACE

MISS ALIPHANT split pair of next out winners when rallying for second money for higher tag in Md. finale and gets red hot jock up for the assignment. Stretch running sort will need some help up front. STRICT VOW loses the blinkers, returns to turf(hopefully) where she earned relatively high marks on graduate day for twice this tag. KARENINA a hanging sort but did cross the wire first vs. same kind three back. Must use for at least a share.

SIXTH RACE

SAVANNAH GRASS back to the main after losing best chance after awkeward beginning in local bow. Gets a mulligan, taken to make amends with cleaner break. DIXIELAND HUMOR and UPSY DAISY DO both getting class relief of their own, finished necks apart when squaring off here on 10/2.

SEVENTH RACE

QUICK POINT did not get the best of trips when second best returning to dirt last month but more than capable on turf as well. Shaky not with cleaner sailing. LILLIE’S HEAT at her best when loose on the lead, should be able to control things once again today One to fear with patient handling up front. BABY ISABELLA was not competitive vs. same kind when returning locally but might benefit from that run over the track. Tossing in for minor share.

EIGHTH RACE

In a race loaded with speed, MARY LEE AND ME might be worth a flyer at the price turning back in distance off series of longer effort. Can come running late to pick up plenty of pieces if this one unfolds as expected. ROYALLY COOL looks like speed of speed and barn handing reins over to go to rider but likely to face plenty of early pressure at what figures to be a very short price. PAULA ANDREA back with same kind she beat handily when coming up tagged last time. Should sit stalking trip behind inside speed.

NINTH RACE

AWESOME BUZZ well spotted off game maiden win, could take another with similar try. VERY AMUSING the class of the field dropping to this level for first time since graduation day but perhaps vulnerable at short price in current form. GRAN CAUSEWAY like preferred choice nicely placed to win right back off bottom level maiden tally last time.
