ETOBICOKE, Ontario – Have a Souper Day will add blinkers in Sunday’s featured second race at Woodbine, a maiden special weight for 2-year-olds over five furlongs on Tapeta. The race is one of four juvenile races on the 10-race Sunday card.

Have a Souper Day, trained and owned by Robert Tiller, makes his fifth start on Sunday. He recorded two runner-up finishes and a third-place finish to start his career, and most recently earned a career-best 71 Beyer Speed Figure when fourth in a six-furlong sprint on Tapeta on Oct. 27.

Have a Souper Day is one of two horses in the field for

Tiller, who will also send out first-time starter Chasing Vinny. Like Have a Souper Day, Chasing Vinny is by Ontario sire Souper Speedy, who has a 15 percent strike rate with 2-year-old debut runners.

All Inclusive, by Run Away and Hide

◗ The cutback to five furlongs is suitable after he faded at six furlongs in both outings.

Chasing Vinny, by Souper Speedy No Beyers

◗ His pedigree suits sprinting, as several foals out of dam Loupe de Grace have had success in sprints, including Grace Phil, who won her debut sprinting and was a stakes winner over seven furlongs in the Passing Mood Stakes as a 3-year-old in 2012.
