BEST BET: RACE 10, TOXICOLOGIST

FIRST RACE

RED FICTION gave way grudgingly to Forester’s Turn in a narrow loss at this OS allowance level Oct. 25. He was previously third in the rapidly-run Bull Page Stakes, and is a standout here Beyerwise. TRUEBELIEVE overcame an awkward break to graduate from off the pace at 64-1 at first asking for $25K, earning a decent 63 Beyer in the process. SILENCE BREAKERS pressed the pace on a speed-favoring track en route to a daylight debut score vs. OS/$40K maidens three weeks ago.

SECOND RACE

HAVE A SOUPER DAY is coming off a flat fourth going three-quarters as the favorite in his fourth trip postward. The cutback to five furlongs coupled with blinkers on could put the son of Souper Speedy over the top. ARTIE MY BOY has had a break since a 10-length loss to the promising next-out winner Corsi in mid-September, during which he’s worked well. CLAYTON worked nicely from the gate Oct. 27, before two more quick drills.

THIRD RACE

EMBRACE MY UNCLE ran against a speed bias last time when fifth in a fast-placed, six-furlong maiden special. He seems made-to-order for this seven-furlong tilt for $25K maidens. BREED’S HILL brings improving route form to this event, and could do some damage with the turnback in distance. IM NO SAINT could wake up while getting some class relief and changing surfaces.

FOURTH RACE

Maryland shippers trained by Mike Trombetta have fared well at the meet, and STREET SILENCE is exiting maiden special company on turf at Laurel, with blinkers on. BIG HAMBONE recorded his fourth runner-up placing in a similar spot two weeks ago, while beating CAPTAIN VINNIE, who closed belatedly from a trailing ninth for third. CONQUER THE BREEZE is a prospect for the lower rungs of the exotics.

FIFTH RACE

OUR EYES TOUCHED rallied wide for second over an inside-favoring track when dropping to this $15K maiden class from $25K in her first two-turn start Nov. 1. PRESSURE FRONT is experimenting around two turns in her third race, with a blend of speed and stamina in her pedigree. MISS MAC closed in the two-path for third with the aid of the aforementioned bias.

SIXTH RACE

QUIETLY QUICK dueled two-wide for the lead before drawing clear to beat $7.5K NW3 stock most recently. This open $7.5 seller doesn’t contain much other speed, and she could to coast-to-coast with Kimura back in the tack. HUSH BUFFY rallied inside to win a 7 1/2-furlong inner turf event at this price Oct. 12. She’s a two-time winner on the Tapeta. Stretch-running grasser

HASSAH is plunging to the lower ranks to compete on a surface over which she placed last December.

SEVENTH RACE

SECRET PATH finished on the edges behind a sharp Show Me Your Spots in his last route try two starts ago. He’s exiting a prominent third in an offthe-turf sprint, and should be dangerous on the stretchout. SELF INFLICTED was hard-ridden for second when dropping to this class while changing surfaces to the Tapeta Nov. 3. Kimura is sticking with the Walls runner. HUNGARY is jumping up off a front-running second vs. $15K maidens on the lawn. Civaci takes over from Hernandez, who has landed on the top pick.

EIGHTH RACE

BLACK SAGE could turn the tables on SWEET
