BEST BET: RACE 3, BLUE BOMBER

FIRST RACE

FORTY NINE MODEL has some speed, draws inside, goes third off the layoff, and escapes CD foes. We like how connections find a spot where they can’t lose their new charge. Other speed is a concern so a crisp break is needed. TIME FOR KISSES might stalk the best trip if able to relax off the layoff. Works are fine and we like it when Arrieta rides for Davis (50%). BRIGHT BLING just ran well on this dirt and is in good form. She draws outside and could improve second time this dirt. A good stalking trip won’t hurt either.

SECOND RACE

PLENTY OF MUNNY tried the turf for the first time last out and ran well. She should improve second time here and second time on the grass. She draws well and has better turf breeding than most of these. BRAHMS IS WHO looks a lot like our top pick. Class drop and upside are main calling cards. Second time this sod can only help. KIMBERLY FRANCES got Beyers of 57 and 55 in her only two turf starts but they came versus better in Kentucky. She ran OK off the layoff at OP only two back. BAILDON is by a 9% debut turf sire. Her dam never tried the grass and this is her first foal. GOLDEN GOPHER is by a 13% debut sire and a 5% debut turf sire. Her dam went 14-1-3-3 and earned 58K (mostly turf). Both sibs beat winners while one of two won on the grass. DAT GIRL is by a 0 for 11 debut turf sire. Her dam went 10-22-0 on the green for 16K and this is her first grass foal. FAIRY SURPRISE is by a 6% debut turf sire. Her dam was un-raced. Two sibs are a combined 4-0-0-0 on the sod. DO YOU BILEVE is by a 5% debut turf sire. Her dam went 2-0-0-1 on the green but earned almost 9K. Three sibs a combined 6-0-0-0 on the weeds. GOLDEN LILY is by a 3% debut turf sire. Her dam went 1-0-0-0 on the green and this is her first grass foal.

THIRD RACE

BLUE BOMBER is feeling great, can fire fresh, has won locally, lures Arrieta, and goes for Diodoro. Other speed is fine as this gelding can now stalk.

MR. BENZ figures a good trip. He exits a key race where 3 of 6 returned to win with figs of 87, 78, and 80. He has never missed the exacta on this dirt. HAMAZING VISION beat money allowance foes at Oaklawn two back and those fields are always very tough. He beat over half the field home in his most recent versus stakes foes and again at Oaklawn. Local tab is fine and he gets good race flow.

FOURTH RACE

SHE B GLAMOROUS has tried the turf twice and ran great both times. Both were local tries so bonus points for that. She won her debut so she can fire off a layoff. Works are fine. SHABAM likes this sod and drops in class. What if she needed her return try to some extent? Arrieta is 25% when riding for Biehler. This filly won two back and notice that she drew inside that day. GOLDEN TAP has some solid works. Current form is poor but that’s why she ends up here. Any horse that can win on the lawn at GP has some talent. HUSHED is by a 10% debut turf sire. Her dam went 8-1-2-1 and earned 56K on the green. Two of six sibs won on the grass. PARTY LIGHTS is by a 7% debut turf sire. Her dam never tried the green. Lone grass sib is 2-0-0-0.

FIFTH RACE

PURPLE MONSTER has improved his Beyer speed figure in three straight races. He gets great race flow. Lone win did come here. We like this jock with closers. We hope everyone stays in especially all the speeds. BEYOND STREETSMART ran OK two back and notice he did so while going seven furlongs and buried on the rail. He can pass runners and seems to like this dirt. FOREIGN RUMOR has passed a runner before and even did so in his debut. This barn is 25% off this type of layoff. If this gelding does gun then he has to break sharp.

SIXTH RACE

DRAMA CHORUS has improved his Beyer speed figure in three straight. Twice he has gotten a figure in the 60’s and that certainly fits here. Of course, those Tampa special weights are tougher than these. Lots and lots of local works. Race flow is fine for a stalking trip. BLAME THE CAKE just missed in his debut and it came at Saratoga. That was a decent try two back at Tampa. He was stuck between foes in his most recent and young horses hate it there. Form cycle hints at better and this colt lands in a good barn. REAL GRACE got a 74 Beyer in his last start and that is better than all. It was only his second start. Can he ship and improve? Huge odds in first two starts ends today. FRANK THE MAYOR is by a 10% debut sire. His dam went 6-1-0-0 and earned 10K. Two of four sibs won and both beat winners.

SEVENTH RACE

WHERE’D THE DAY GO tried two turns on the turf in his debut and that is always tough. He ran OK and beat four home. Trainer stats are just good and this horse should be better now then when last seen as a 2YO. TEMPLES MON CHERI ran better on this sod only two and three back and did so for Arrieta who returns today. Turf breeding is solid and this horse might be double digits. MINNEAPOLISMIRACLE is by a 8% debut turf sire. His dam went 7-1-1-2 on the green and earned 29K. Lone sib never tried the green. His last race came back key when 3 of 7 returned to win with figs of 69, 44, and 74 (another finished 2nd with a 74 Beyer). MACHO RAPIDO is by a 7% debut turf sire. His dam never tried the green while lone sib 1-0-0-0 on the sod. CAPTAIN DRAKE is by a 9% debut turf sire. His dam never tried the green and this is her first grass foal. SILVER DASH is by a 10% debut sire and a 6% debut turf sire. His dam went 32-74-4 and earned 133K (2-0-0-0 turf). Four of five sibs won (0 for 4 won on the turf with 1 hitting the board). CARAMEL ANGEL is by a 11% debut turf sire. His dam went 12-2-0-4 and earned 51K (won turf debut). This is her first grass foal. RAISIN CANDY BAR is by a 0 for 4 debut turf sire. His dam went 7-1-0-0 on the grass for 8K. CLASSY MAGIC is by a 9% debut turf sire. His dam never tried the green. Lone grass sib is 5-0-0-0.

EIGHTH RACE

STARRING JOHN WAIN was running Beyers in the 70’s not that long ago. He tried the local dirt for the first time last out and finished a nice second at 4-1. Why can’t he improve again? FRONT OFFICE has now run better in two straight. Here is another that might like it here. Tactical speed and outside post go hand in hand. MAJOR BIZKIT has some speed and goes for a barn that is 21% second off this type of layoff. Velazquez is 29% when riding for this barn locally.

NINTH RACE

HURRICAIN HUNTER is by a 5% debut sire. Her dam went 12-2-1-1 and earned 51K. One of three sibs won but it was a multiple winner of 243K. SWEET ECLIPSE is by a 13% debut sire. Her dam went 20-5-9-2 and earned 125K. Two of three sibs won including a multiple winner of 76K. ADDED DIAMONDS did little in her debut last summer but we can forgive anyone’s first start. Both sibs beat winners and the blinkers go ON. SWEET AS CANBE is by a 9% debut sire. Her dam was un-raced and this is her first foal. A ROZE AND WINE is by a 0 for 9 debut sire. Her dam went 7-2-1-0 and earned 18K. This is her first foal to race.

TENTH RACE

Quarter horses.
